Richie McCaw

New Zealand
comment on the article

This it not a dig at McCaw at all but watching the game against the springbocks towards the End of the game McCaw looked like he picked up an injurie (bruised ribs)or broken ribs but played on
to the end of the game.

Does any know if he did pick up an injurie and will he be available for the next game??

Jim if Dr Phil is on any of your channels then please tune in.I think you seriously need some man time with him.
If you have a issue with 1/3 of the ABS being born in the other pacific islands, then look no further than current England recruit Leslie Vaincolo as an example of this strategy.
Be good to yourself Jim.Dont worry, itll be alright.

Look, i was only putting across my point of view! I am not being biased - i think the All Blacks are a good side but you do tend to put to much pressure on yourselves.

With the haka, whilst it is a great rugby tradition and spectacle, it also appears that some of your players a.k.a Ali Williams take it a step to far and almost appear cocky! The haka is great, but i am fully supportive of the Australians and anyone else who go through a tackling regime.

I would say it gives you an unfair advantage. You were slated in the media for not winning the World Cup and rightly so - losing to a poor French side.

I hope New Zealand rugby slowly slides over the next few years. You've lost several of your stars - Chris Jack, Anton Oliver, Luke McCalister, Bryon Kelleher, Jerry Collins, Justin Marshall, Dan Carter (the list could go on..) to European sides.

This shows New Zealand players care more about money than they do about their own country if they are so happy to walk away and not play for them again....

So, we will see if you can once again rise to the top of the ladder. Winning the Tri Nations doesn't make you a brilliant side - no, it really doesn't, just a average side with a load of arrogant and cocky players.

Cheers lads...

I like watching the All Blacks, no doubt that they are exciting to watch and Dan Carter is defianantly Number 1 at the moment. McCaw is quality but he is not the best player in the world and its boring to say it I know but he does get away with an awful lot....however that is not his fault. All good flankers play rignt in the line of right and wrong....so maybe he is - simply because he gets away with it....

You do speak rubbish Jim. Oh no, Ali Williams appears cocky.. boo hoo! "The all blacks have an unfair advantage by doing the haka.." what an amateur comment. The greatest opposing players use it to psyche themselves up, it works both ways. Only a monkey would feel threatened.. Are you a monkey?

Lastly, in case you have forgotten, the tri-nations involves consistently the best three teams in the world. So winning it is not to be taken cheaply. And grow up about 1/3 of players being from fiji etc etc.. Sivivatu is the oldest player to have come over and that was at age 7. The majority of these boys were either raised or born in nz.

Although I don't fully agree with Jim, I do have to see when it comes to rugby the NZ people are the most arrogant I've ever met. Now, that's not the players its the fans. I always used to think the Aussies were arrogant but the fans there are great.

It's very strange as I love the NZ people, genuinely the friendlist in the world, but I think they are very bad winners - who in contrast to the Aussies are actually quite good winners. Having travelled both countries following sporting events that's my opinion, although not wanting to annoy every kiwi here, maybe I was just exposed to a minority.

may i add Aaron Mauger and Greg Somerville to that list along with Doug Howlett, Rikki Flutey, Nick Evans, Andrew Merhtens and Carlos Spencer....

That is a whloe All Black team chasing the money....

I am not being unfair - just stating my somewhat controversial opinion to spark some reaction which is what you have done. There are 2 sides to every story.

Everything that you say in a way is logical and makes sense.

Oh Jim. be a good boy and go and watch Dr Phil like I said. The AB exodus will temporarily be a lull. But theres plenty more players to choose from. NZ is a rugby factory after all Its their choice to play for money.Personally Id do the same thing. The British gold medal haul at the Olympics is proof enough of the benefits that cash will bring you and rugby should be no exception. Why should the UK get all the benefits of a cash surplus.? Players in another country have as much righ to earn good money as anybody else. And to win the Tri Nations,it takes a brilliant side. Then effort involved is incredible. The fact that England couldnt get within a country mile of beating the Springboks and the NZ go and wallop them scoreless in their own back yard speaks volumes about the difference between NH and SH rugby.Wales got thrashed a few months ago and England will get thrashed again.
The RWC is now history. Its consigned to the record books. Its irrelevant now as rugby progresses towards another season.Although I expect the ABs to regain their number 1 ranking by the end if the year.

What do you call 15 guys sitting around the TV watching the Rugby World Cup final?
The All Blacks

Jim - aside from the world cup I believe the ABs have every other trophy available to them - so I'd say the cabinet is fuller than anyone elses in the rugby world. btw - they are xmas cracker jokes (at best)
