PGA Tour latest, Laird bounces back.....

comment on the article

Gutsy effort by Martin Laird, after leading in rnd 1 and falling back in round 2 to just make the cut, a 64 has bounced him back up to 11th! This relatively unknown British rookie is making a good fist of keeping his tour card, good luck to him.
Great to see a guy prepared to give it a real go, how many of us would like to be in his place and showing Casey how it's done!

We do not know much about Laird, however, l hope he has a great final round to capitalise on his 1st/3rd rounds.
What has Casey done this year? Why is he considered for Ryder Cup, is it just past reputation? If Dougherty wins this week in Sweden does he not desrve the pick, after all he is one of Nick's sibblings as well!

Watch out for Chopra in Sweden, in fact, watch out for him as a late Ryder possibility. All these English selections make it a little insular me thinks.

laird had a very harsh 2 shot penalty in second round

dougherty is nowhere near good enough fopr ryder cup - pettersson is in a different league

ken,
I missed the penalty; what happened?

Agree about Dougherty; Pettersson will certainly have given Faldo something else to consider given Casey's efforts so far.

He moved his marker at the request of a partner, and forgot to put it back afterwards. Nobody had realised until he remembered and announced the two stroke penalty to himself.
