Middlesbrough v Tottenham LIVE

Premier League Middlesbrough
comment on the article

The teamline ups are as follows:

Middlesbrough - Jones, Taylor, Huth, Wheater, Pogatetz(c), Downing, Shawky, O'Neil, Aliadiere, Tuncay, Alves.

Subs - Turnbull, Grounds, Williams, Digard, Emnes, Johnson, Mido

Tottenham - Gomes, Assou-Ekotto, Dawson, Woodgate, Zokora, Jenas, Modric, Bentley, Lennon, Dos Santos, Bent.

Subs - Sanchez, Bale, Huddlestone, Berbatov, Gunter, O'Hara, King.

What do you make of the team line up's?

Will Woodgate get a positive welcome?

Both sides playing a player at right back which is not their natural position?

Leave news and views throughout the match.

Come on Boro!!!

The Spurs have just found out that they are ordinary team without Berbatov . .,It's a hard reality . . ,Should they sell him . , They would never find a replacement soon enough to get a space in the EUFA cup. The team is not the same without him . . , Juande Ramos is getting over himself thinking premiership is an ordinary league. This is not a South American league . . ,He would be first manager casuality this season . . So much hype without substance about this team. Berbatov will be a loss to be felt in time . . , It would rock Spurs tremenduosly . .,

Erm........... For all the typical glory hunters who are running there mouths off about the Boro loss, my question is.......

Havent teams such as Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea all been beaten at the Riverside in recent seasons??

A little bit premature to assume that spurs aren't gonna do well this season dont you think!?!?

Haha quality answer jamesdocherty! I think in the last 3 seasons we beat united 4-1 & drew 2-2, beat chelsea 2-1 & 3-0 & beat Arsenal 2-1 twice.

The problem is we get beat by Reading etc... the next game doh

agree with Narberella(from the movie?)

couple of points........

We're 1 game into a 38 game competition, right?

Boro are underrated, have a strong manager, and other people have pointed out noteable teams that went to the Riverside last season and didnt get a result

Tottenham Hotspur will improve as the season goes on.

Did any other London club playing in the premierlegue win a trophy last season..

I think its in fact the supporters of the teams that often finish in the top 4 or 5 that most believe that spurs fans think they should be there - interesting point that

Villa, Man city (when they warm up) Boro , Newcastle and Spurs will do well this season

Everton seem a little static.

Newcastle have a lot of flair with duff coming back

and anyway I'm not sure whether the "newcastle of the south" line used earlier is a insult in the loosest sense of the word to newcastle , spurs , or to the south smiley

Boro had a great game and won,I also think that they could do well this season,if they can keep it together as a team. But don't you think it is funny when the spuds go on about the UEFA cup,and how they beat Roma in a friendly. Will someone tell them that Boro beat Roma in the UEFA cup and also played in the final. The spuds are just another middle of the road team,it must be happy bakkie that gives them their delusions.Time will tell. winkeye
