Erm... Macca-Torres-Gerrard-lfc, I'm a huge LFC fan. I go to as many games as possible but sometimes a bit of criticism is necessary. And please tell me that was a joke about "his dads team." They're not even related.

when you look at liverpool you see 3 real world class players torres gerrard and keane when you look at utd and chelsea you see 9-10 world class players and thats why liverpool will be 15-20 points behind. im not having a dig im just telling the truth and deep down you lpool fans know its the truth. you should have sold up to steve morgan.

I agree on the point where you say Man United and Chelsea have better players (although I wouldn't say all of them are world-class), but to say 15-20 points is a real exaggeration. We were 11 points behind United last season, and we've only strengthened, sure enough Chelsea have too, but United haven't (yet), so I can see us being a few points closer, not to say we will win it of course as it's too early and a decent challenge will do for us.

There is somethign to be said of the calibre of each player in the top 4 teams. With Man Utd they have individuals in rooney and Ronaldo mainly, though it has been for the past two seasons mostly Ronaldo. But with the talent of Giggs, Scholes, Carrick, Hargreaves, Teves, Nani, maybe even Anderson, they all do something individual that mean put together makes a strong whole. Chelsea are the same, they have Lampard, Essien, Drogba, Cech, Joe Cole as their main players who provide something on their own and then you can add Kalou, Malouda, Wright-Phillips, and the understanding of Terry and Carvalho and they have a stronger backbonein their side than most.

Arsenal have Van Persie, Fabregas, Adebayor, Rosicky who can pull something out of nothing and then add the defensive pace of Gallas and Toure, Clichy, Walcott, and they provide more stability. Thing is with Flamini, Hleb gone and an anchor in midfield in Gilberto, the ship has been deserted a bit. OK, Ramsey adds something which I've heard of but have not seen yet. But I sense Arsenal are lacking a bit in the experience side and may find themselves finding a harder time than before.

Liverpool, well, Gerrard, Torres, Keane, Babel are about as good as it gets. These guys can bring out something on their own initiative as well as part of a team. And it is this why we struggle for the league, I dont think we have enough players of calibre who maintain the stamina and flair to continuously progress us for the title run, the cup competitions, every season. Mascherano brings strong defending in central midfield but if he were to add more goals to it eh would be strongly world class. Benayoun hasnt played as good as he had done for West Ham, Pennant was good but doesnt maintain it long enough to warrant a start every game and I think his temperament has something to do with that.

Reina is a good keeper and were he to show himself coming out and catching high balls more often he would get more praise. He has to show more to appease the critics whereas Cech and VDS play for teams that already get applause before they even play, so the pressure is put on Reina unfairly. Kuyt had his chance to shine when he came upfront and failed while we urged him to bang in the goals like he did in Holland. Voronin was meant to be an assist to Kuyt but he had a bad season aided by injury and he has this season to improve and impress. Carragher showed some signs of early fatigue and that could be down to a number of reasons, Agger looks confident and ready but with his height in there the one aerial ball we had problems with was not dealt with. Shockingly LFC are being known for the opposite of what we were known for, always dealing with danger. My answer is for Carragher to go RB or be left out, and Agger partners Skrtel.

While Mascherano and Gerrard would be good central, we need someone on the right wing who will take on players and deliver crosses or cut in and touch through those killer passes in the box. Babel does it on the left and we need someone like that on the right. We are still 2-3 players short of such promise.

Liverpool Just don't have the right amount of class in their team. They only really have Torres & Gerrard who can turn a game around. I can honestly see Rafa putting Keane out wide which will imo stop him from changing matches like he did at Spurs. United, Arsenal & Chelsea have those players all over the pitch and even have them on the bench (Arsenal to a lesser extent). Until Liverpool can get more of those players, they won't challenge for the league.

Most managers have a formation and style of football they want to play and buy players to fit. We seem to do the opposite and buys players then hope they will fit.

Add in the rotation, bad buys, playing people out of position and over-buying on full backs and central midfield players and I don't see how we can expect to compete for the league.

If Torres or Gerrard broke their leg like Eduardo did for Arsenal we would struggle a lot more than the top 3.

If Benitez came in & won the CL with "someone else's" squad, then all the more strength to him! 2 CL Finals and a semi in 3 years, better than GH.

Also, when GH got 2nd, Abramovich was still drilling for oil...

Personally, I was fully behind GH, but he was never the same after his heart attack.

Please learn english. The phrase is, 'Pool is Rubbish.'
And i quite agree, snooker as a game requires far greater skill and tactical nouse.

The majority of snooker proffessionals find pool a very easy game and excel in tournaments when they compete.

If of cours eyou meant Pool (Liverpool) are rubbish you are greatly deluded and possibly have multiple degenerative brain diseases. I hope Spurs do well and try not to concede four goals a game, we all pray that Modric turns out to be as good as Rebrov, and lets all pray Woodgate doesnt do himself any harm.
