David Price

Olympics
comment on the article

What a performance! 2 points down after round 1, he floored him twice in the second, then the ref stopped the bout, perhaps too early, but who cares!

Well done David. Get the Gold, freedom of Liverpool awaits!

Looked good didn't he? As long he can avoid daft judging he's got a great chance. Here's hoping, anyway.

I don't know what you have to do to score with a body shot in the Olympics, perhaps break the other bloke in two, but I'm glad he got him out of there in the second.

haha brilliant! Yeah how the hell did that not score.......they must have employed some blind judges!! laugh

price did excellent in the fight i believe he can win the gold. but when china is in the rings the refs are increcdibly biased i realise u av a lil advantage bein at home but sometimes it gets way over the top. then iv noticed sometimes that some boxers persist to infringe the rules and bout the 6th time they do it they opposition is only given 1 point THE REFS ARE NOT FIRM ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I don't get how the russian got knock down i know it was a left to the face but it looked slow and didn't land.

still impressive boxing.

I was wondering about that too khan. We just have to assume that he was still hurting badly from the first knockdown

I must be the only person that was not impressed by him.

He reminds me of fraudley. He looks very scared to be hit.

are the boxing refs even qualified in this olympics, that's yet another very poor decision.

Keizo - thats the point. Hit and not be hit - especially at super-heavyweight. I agree that the ruskie went down easily and i thought it was ended a little prematurely but i guess the refs must err on the side of caution. It wouldn't look good if a boxer got a serious injury at the olympics.

i'm a bit torn. i thought he looked ok, but was supprised that the russian went down twice from 2 pretty slow and seemingly weak shots. i thought price looked a bit like bambi in the ring. especially when he was dancing after the fight. he looks huge in terms of height, but not particularly "super" heavyweight in terms of body size.
