"Captain of saints most successfull team ever and captained his country"

wwp, didn't you mean to put a comma after "most" there? whistle

So long Scully and thanks for all the memories. 1 of SL's greatest players applause

I too think his body has had enough now and think he wouldbe better looking at NL1 player-coach role rather than putting his body through another season of SL, especially with a team who cannot offer him the same level of support and protection as Saints.

Whether Scully is a legend or not a move to Huddersfield could hardly be described as historic. What could this announcement be. Given that the game was born in Hudersfield could it be that agreement on broken time payments has finally been reached with the Rugby Union and they are going to kiss and make up? What would constitute an "historic" announcment?

Ive heard a rumour that Scully has been offered a non-playing position at Saints.

Hudds are switching codes to the GP so when Sculthorpe signs his knees will be able to take the pounding in Union.

interesting wakefield have confired their interest yet aperntly we arent paying our players and are going out of business, anybody would think those rumours were complete garbage.

on a serious note he cpould be a fantastic signing both on and offthe pitch but obviously all depends on fitness, to be honest 40 mins a game would be decent assume his wage isnt too astronomical, i also hope he is used well in the community side of things as he could be a great asset here too.

Sadly we have to face the real world. Scully as good/great as he has been has not really contributed that much in the last 2/3 seasons and us losing his salary will help overall with the ability to strengthen the squad. That in no way decries what he acheived with Saints. So Paul good luck wherever you end up and a big thank you from the fans ........Cheers

Saints-until-i-die; well put I think.

PS was an awesome player (the idea that he is not already a legend is just plain daft) but the fact is he's hardly played in the last few years so you can't blame Saints for letting him go.

Personally I don't really like seeing players fade away but he has a family to feed so you can understand why he wants to play on.

Here's hoping for an Indian summer from the big man.
