chronic weakness at 1, 4 and 13 - that will lose you the game.

Jacobs has been the best SA back after De Villiers this season, and has Bekker even put a foot wrong in a Bok yet? stop smoking crack.

whonickedhonesttim - the only chronic here seems to be what you smoked before you posted. The Beast was extremely impressive in the scrum last weekend and has never been a slouch in the loose. Probably why he's chosen over BJ Botha. Bekker has played awesome rugby all season but to be honest he's more of a 5 than a 4 and I'd start Danie Rossouw just to bring the mean. When Bakkies is back I'd start Bekker over Matfield though.
AD is without a doubt the best performing outside centre in SA now with Fourie out again, dont know exactly who you'd want there. And lastly my only unhappiness is not seeing January start on Saturday over du Preez. Ricky has always been good against the AB's.

Lastly, Congratulations to Percy on 100 test caps, a truly historical achievement for a truly historical rugby player.

to: whonickedhonesttim...

You tell 'The Beast' that he is a weakness.

Becker @ 4 will surprise many with his physical presence. His lineout abilities will disrupt the AB seriously. Where do they throw now? Nowhere to hide. Becker up front - Matfield in the middle and the ferocious trio in the back - good luck if you are thowing in for NZ.

At 13 - no one has given Adi Jackobs his credit. Go back and watch the tapes of the previous tri-nations tests and you will see the ease with which he regularly broke both NZ's and Aus's line. Also, you will not that he did not miss a single tackle. Besides, with Burger in the side he probably won't need to make many tackles.

Saturdays test is going to be a barnstormer...

whonickedhonesttim - adie jacobs has been on fire this season, if you saw SA vs ARG you would definately. As for Bekker, he's improving.

And agreed ajs_rsa, Its an outstanding acheivement for old perce. We English have been quick to mock the permed one in the past but his track record and now his number of caps speak volumes.

whonickedhonesttim, am i right in saying that because you have never heard of their names before, they are weak links? watch some super 14 and you will see that certainly jacobs and beast were their stand out players, as for bekker he has done nothing wrong and deserves his shot, he will not look out of place. great achievement for percy smiley

South Africa really have the potential to cause the All Blacks some serious embarrassment on Saturday. SA to win by a try and conversion or 2 penalties. If they can shut Carter out of the game or if he goes missing under the pressure (unlikely but it has happend to all great fly halves at least once or twice) then maybe SA by 14 points. I have a feeling that South Africa are really up for this game.
As many of the guys have already said, it's gonna be a cracker of a game. Will be watching it on TV with great interest.smileyale Good luck to both sides.

The "Beast" is just that. Who remembers that smashing run along the line and the shimmy against the Aussies. Then is incredible power in the tight along with the loose. To suggest he is a weak link is ludicrous...
