England - South Africa

comment on the article

Morning all,

I'll shortly be bringing you the live text for the fourth day of the fourth and final Test between England and South Africa at The Oval.

news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cri...

Yesterday was a bit of a damp squib, with only 17.5 overs possible - but how do you think day four will unfold?

Do get involved and join the debate.

"yeah but thats basicaly just the same with the english batsmen if we had all batted properly the series would have been a different story."

Not quite Kallis is recognised as SA's best batsmen imagine how england would do without KP ? still lose lol

They would just lose by a greater margin.

El Ginge you of all people know how I have championed him for the captaincy. I just wish Dl was not banned and Kanga not off wherever he is to say I told you. All i need know is him to play with the pink balls and I will be happy.

Lol sister seems a decent enough request - hope he maintains his attacking instinct as captain

Is there a lip reader who can let us know what Harris muttered as he walked off after been caught? He wasn't a happy bunny!

sister, has KP ever to scored in the 4th innings with England chasing 150+? I don't think, ever... and I can't see him doing it tomorrow. KP was one of the batsmen out chasing 120-odd in his debut series, and he has always caved in under pressure. The only batsmen to do well under pressure have been Tresco, Strauss, Hoggard, Giles and Prior! Only Strauss in the current team.

Swamy, why are you now on KP's back? Now Vaughan has gone, you have moved onto attacking the next England captain.

Sice when are Giles are Hoggard good at chasing? Oh, that's right, that 20 odd run partnership at the end of an ashes test.

"he has always caved under pressure".

Try KP's series clinching 158 at the oval against the Aussies. Not chasing a win but chasing a draw, effectively doing the same job. No more pressure than that.

Try a debut series back in SA where he scored three tons.

Need I go on?

Kindly form an unbiased opinion based on fact, then come back. Thanks.
