Prediction for Coming Season

League Two Bradford City

This is my prediction for the coming season. Obviously its nearly impossible to get the correct orders but i think i have got the right teams in the right areas for the battles they will fight this season. IE the top 7 could all easily make the top 3, and the top 10 could all make the playoffs. I have thought this is quite an easy season to get in the top 7 but as i looked at in in more detail there are still a lot of similar teams around. In Particular i do think that only Luton will be relegated of the current points deducted teams. Opinions greatly welcomed:
Bradford
Darlington
Brentford
Port Vale
Shrewsbury
Chesterfield
Rochdale
Lincoln
Gillingham
Wycombe
Bury
Grimsby
Barnet
Aldershot
Accrington
Notts County
Morecambe
Bournemouth
Macclesfield
Rotherham
Chester
Exeter
Dagenham
Luton

Apologies in advance to all that will be offended because i put Bradford top. In all my years as a fan i can never remember having any kind of aspirations for promotion so i'm not somebody who says it every year. This year is ours tho- youre all playing for 2nd ;)

I've got a cheeky tenner on Wycombe, looked good when Swindon got promoted a few years ago and only just missed out again last season.

Mark my words Wycombe will be in the auto places.

I agree with Ironbantam that Bradford will win this division. They are far too big for this level and shouldn't even be in it.

I think my own team, Brentford, will also go up. Andy Scott has built a very good side that is strong in every area of the field. Brentford have one of the best forward lines in the division and have also managed to keep hold of Glenn Poole, probably the best midfielder at this level.

I think that Chesterfield, Darlington and Shrewsbury have also got a good chance while Luton and Bournemouth will be relegated.

Bradford should be champions but sometimes expectations can add pressure. Shrewsbury have a few good signings, however that does not garantee sucess. I think the following will be top 7 but not in any particular order.

Bradford
Darlington
Rochdale
lincoln
wycombe
shrewsbury
chesterfield

Sorry to all fans of Wycombe. The reason i put you there is partly due to not having a clue what to do with Gillingham. i think you are in a dreamland if you think you can get top 3 tho. 7th last year - no noticable improvements to your team. With Shrews, Lincoln, Bradford, Brentford, all massively underachieving last season, and improving massively this year. Along with teams like Bury and Chesterfield who will also do better this year IMO. Along with 2 of the relegated clubs seemingly going to do ok too in Port Vale and Gillingham. You try fitting all that into a top 7, not forgetting Darlington, and Rochdale who both finished above you. What are your reasons for this auto qualification??

And seperate point, "The top 7 could all easily make the top 3" funny you didnt understand that when lots of people have said similar things. i mean, it is so close that its very hard to pick the actual top 3 but i think the top 3 will be 3 of the top 7!!

And my reasons for Lincoln been so low are a) I'm not that impressed by all their signings Sinclair and Oakes are not gonna win you a league - past it b) i wasnt that impressed with them last season and c)It's not just me, the bookies have them at 18/1, that would place them in 10th Place too. So if you are that confident get some cash on it!

Ironbantam,

You can't write off Wycombe just because you don't see improvements in the team.. This year has not started yet, few hours to go..

Sometimes a settled team is a better team, than one with lots of new signings. I'd like to see Brentford do well, they were my local club when I lived in the UK, and was the 1st football match I ever went to ( Brentford 2 - 8 Chelsea ) many years ago. I ended up being a Chelsea supporter after that.

I agree Bradford can win the league, but fancy Wycombe to gain a top 3 finish along with Brentford
