Premier League Manchester United
comment on the article

Just think back to that headed goal he scored against Roma away in the Champions league last season.

Pure class!

Will Ronaldo stick around when Fergie retires in two years?

I doubt it.

Asher

U don't think he will score over 20 this campaign?

That's less than half last seasons tally! Granted he will miss the start of the season and 42 was spectacular and perhaps a one off for a winger but less than 20?

I expect him to approach 30 provided he stays injury free after his ankle recovery

'Ronaldo loves the club'? he didnt even know about the most famous plane crush in the history of football that killed half of the team.

Giscod: why would a Portuguese youngster in his early twenties know about the Munich crash? Do you think that people all over the world wrote down the date in their diaries? You're being insular and unreasonable.

Could someone explain to me why he's a "judas"? doh. He was bought by a rich team to play in a circus. Now he can command his own terms in a circus nearer his home, where he'll feel better.

There are thousands of opinions to be respected, but unfortunately, everyone has missed the point and the responsible for this big mess. My opinion is of one from a former player who agrees with another former player and former Man United captain. Have you seen his video. Plain and simple. SAF, who has not much of a Sir, should have done his part correctly. It is his duty to get on his feet and communicate with his player intelligently and correctly. Football is now a business in its full sense. Instead going to his boss, make himself look good for a further increase in his salary/bonus, and come out with a stupid statement threatening CR to rotten on the stands, he should have gotten off his butt and meet with the player and keep him happy. Then he should meet with his boss and educate him in understanding that CR deserves the best and highest pay in the world. CR is the best in the world and by a mile and as a result he should get the highest pay. CR carried MU in his back the entire year. CR was mainly responsible for all the silverware that entered MU storage. CR makes OT fill-up till the last seat. CR sells more shirts than the rest of the team together. CR delights all fans w/ his football that only he can play. Call it total football. You could go on and on, and it is ridiculous to see Lampard and Terry and a few others make similar or even more money than CR. Yes he has a contract, but all clubs change their player’s contract with higher pay when those players provide to the club what CR has done. CR has given more to MU than MU has given to him. Do you believe that Fergie is making the same money since winning the CL? He is like a CEO in a big corporation. Take from the workers, give it to the investors, look good with the workers performance, and increase his pay. By the way, SAF did not make CR what he is today. If anything Carlos Queiros is responsible for CR's mental factor. As for the technical area, it is CR himself who has done most of the work. He is a genius. He comes up with stuff every day that Fergie or any other coach has no idea how it is done. A player like CR must be placed on the field with total freedom, and the end result is what we have seen. Actually, Fergie almost sunk the ship with his stupid defensive tactics in the later stages of the CL. He is a lucky man. He also damaged CR in various situations by keeping him out of the CL competition for silly tactics. CR is 23, strong and fit as no other player, and he should be playing every important game. CR could count 50 goals last year with most other coaches, but since MU came out as a winner the fans and the media immediately forgets the silly stuff done by Fergie. He is a good manager, but far from the likes of Mourinho, Lippi and a few others. The media is a joke, and most fans are like sheep longing for a shepherd. Just wait. The same goes for Scolari @ Chelsea. He is another lucky man but average coach. Won the WC for Brazil when he should have been eliminated twice in the first round in 2002, then goes to Portugal and KEEPS Portugal from winning something twice. He hasn't won anything since 2002 and keeps working with some of the best teams in the world. Be ready Chelsea fans. You got yourselves nothing but a big talker and the media falls for it.

Tulsa player
What you got?.. a franchise for selling CR shirts... or just some kind of weird groupie... putting SAF down to make CR look better is silly, quite silly in fact... sure CR is one of the best, maybe the best, but it's unhealthy to treat him as god... now SAF, well that's a different story....
Not God, no, but surely the best!!!

How's he going to get out of his contract that runs till 2012 though? You anti-Man U fans make me laugh. You should take your act to the comedy store or something. It seems that because you want Ronaldo to go you believe he is going. Well you all said he was off this Summer and I believe he's still at the club. Another league and Euro double I reckon this season and then Ronnie himself might start telling Calderon and Schuster to shut their mouths.
