Beijing 2008 - Table Tennis

comment on the article

Table tennis is just one of 28 sports being fiercely contested at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

This is where you can talk about all things table tennis in the build-up to and during this summer's Games of the XXIX Olympiad.

Whether you want to tip someone for one of those precious gold medals, talk about the quality of competition, or debate its merits as an Olympic sport - this is your forum.

Over 10,500 athletes are expected to compete in 302 events across all sports - here is where you can get involved.

It was Wang Liqin who got pushed hard today by Henzell, not Wang Hao. There was a youtube video of the first game up for a bit but was taken down before I got around to watching it :(

I wonder what the chances of the bbc posting some video action are?

Which BBC genius decided to cut the feed on the one of the best table tennis matches I have ever seen right in the last game to go to a women's football match that had not even started! You numbskulls!

Totally agree with your comment. I'd already told my husband, knowing the BBC they'll probably only show half a game - if that - or exit before the end even if it's at a crucial stage.

Does anyone from the BBC have anything to say for themselves?<steam> They are also showing Nadal with his freakishly large left arm now when the Table tennis is scheduled to be shown..

I wonder when Table Tennis is in the medal round: I watched a Nigerian player win about 10 hours ago.

Teams medals have already been played for, its the singles this week. And i'm sorry but the Nigerians don't stand a hope in hell.

Can table tennis really be called a sport? It's more a game, why not add pool or darts to the olympics? i'm sure 'the power' would do us proud, but in my eyes these are hobbies.

Because Pool or darts do not really require any physical exhertion. Table tennis does. Go home WUM.
