nice to see we have accepted the 5% levy for old farm tickets but charging more for those tickets to the supporters anyway so we dont lose out on any money! also good to see we are imposing a 5% levy on them aswell for selling tickets!

view from gorgie: although falkirk have to be applauded for standing up to them, the problem they have is if anything goes wrong in the away crowd against Rangers then i fully expect a statement from them along the lines of "while we sympathise with falkirk football club, we cannot take any of the blame as we did not sell the tickets to the supporters in that area". In the instance of Aberdeen's idea, the tickets are still distrubuted by RFC and therefore they are still liable for any damage any of their supporters may do.

fornowatlunch.
You are obviously an OF fan who still is under the illusion that the OF is Scottish football.
If it wern`t for the rest of the teams you would only have each other to play 4 times a season plus 2 cup finals. I wonder how much Sky would cut their fees by if thats all you could offer. You would not have any European matches to play, mainly because you can`t qualify from a league of 2 teams. For years the OF have bullied the rest of the teams into seeing things "their way " and now that somebody has stood up to be counted they don`t like it.
Oh! by the way If Celtic and Rangers were no longer in the SPL who the hell would put up with either of them in another league, or in another country? It`s the OF who are using the rest of Scottish football as a meal ticket -NOT the other way around.

Rangers will need a 1000% levy to make up for being dispatched by Kaunas. As for Celtic - they are just like Rangers except they are green. I dont support any SPL team (I follow Stirling Albion - yes i know it is unfortunate, but that is where i am from) but the way the INfirm treat the rest is unacceptable.

The beauty of this is that some fans will come back for the non old firm games to claim back their quid and boost the attendance at the same time leading to better atmosphere and more revenue at the matches where we sometimes struggle to get a performance.

Brilliant and very clever!

Tbh I highly doubt that the opportunity to claim back one solitary pound will change the mind of any football fans who were not planning on going to a game that weekend. erm

Good move by the dons. Not only does it punish Rangers and Celtic, but it also punishes those dons "fans" who turn up solely to watch these games. However, I believe Aberdeen could have gone one step better by making the £1 reduction in the next match price easier to claim (perhaps a voucher system?). We need bigger crowds for our other fixtures, and so allowing fans to purchase discounted tickets at the gate should be a viable option; as opposed to the proposed discount, which is only available up until the previous day.
Some poor points about the rest of the league following suit. The reason they can't is that they don't sell away tickets to their own fans, and so couldn't charge a fee for it, whereas
Aberdeen do.

We are talking Aberdeen here.

Course we'll be back for a quid.
