Hey guys, did anyone actually see him at SJP tonight? I only ask as I'm not to worried by the delay on him signing. Does he not require a work permit first. That in itself can take time, and after the Leto case I'm sure the club wouldn't want to announce him to then later say we gotta loan him out. Any thoughts?........... Forget I wrote all this, It looks like it's official now.

Given and Harper have been great for us but let's not get carried away. They seem to be completely blameless because of the donkeys who have historically played in fron of them, but that does not change the fact they do make some judgment errors and don't command their box well enough for my liking. Having said that, maybe with a better defence they won't need to be anything more than they already are, good quality shot-stoppers.

Hope this guy works out, and lets be fair KK hasn't really made too many dodgy signings no matter where he has been so lets give him the benefit of the doubt!

another one of Newcastle's over priced signings for an average player. When will they learn?

Has no-one told him that Newcastle is the place defenders go to die.

we actually agreed everything about a week ago so I don't know why it took so long.

He played in Spain for 5 years so he could have Spanish nationality ruling out work permit problems.

A good signing indeed, Collocini will add much needed stability in Newcastle's shakey defence. He'll walk into the first team, and with that Steven Taylor has found a well rounded centre back parter.

Along with Jonas Gutierrez, Keegan has made two very astute signings. From a Liverpool fan's perspective I weren't too pleased Houllier turned down Gutierrez after his brief trial at the club.

Back to the topic, it would be interesting to see how Newcastle operate now, with the two Argentines in the side.

he wont have work permit problems always involved with his country and a regular for the sides he's played for in spain. Newcastle have made a very good signing
