Leon Lloyd has had to end his rugby career due to a knee injury. The 30 year old england and gloucester winger picked up a serios knee injury against ospreys in january.

I think this is a tragedy but it will act as a wake up call to Dean Ryan for a long overdue winger as cover for big Les and Sin-Bad.

Thanks also for people adding that Baily has left.

Ah, I see. Thanks. What do you think are the chances of Leeds reneging on that as the season gets closer?

I think I'd be tempted to do a Sonny Bill Williams

Something of a different kettle of fish, methinks.

"Fair point regarding the salary cap. But i do still feel we need a good lock to push Brown and Marco. I do rate James though."
I don't think they need pushing i think we need 1 of them out. They make no impact especially when you consider they are/where internationals. They would probably on around the same pay as the london irish locks and who would you prefer.

Balshaw isn't in either the Elite or Saxons sqauds, and there's only limited scope to move players between/draft players in from outside those squads, so you can take it as read he won't be playing in the 6N.

Hate to see players having to hang up their boots early - due to a bad injury. He has had his fair share of them at key times in his career, but came back from 'em all - to his credit.

All the best Leon. Thanks for the rugby memories. I wish you well in the future mate. ok

Leinster mad in The Netherlands.

Feel bad for Leon he was a great servant to Tigers and he helped us win everything at least twice and those 12 medals are testament to his class. Shame he never got his career on track at Glaws. Come back and teach the youngsters your tricks Leon!
