Hi Everton fans i am a Ipswich fan here but Everton our my Favourite team exept from Ipswich. I would like to say that i am a bit worried about the season comming up this is because you have not made any signings and now i read that you are after Alan Smith which i don't think will be a good signing. What i was wondering is what players do you like to see at goodison this year personally i would to see Dean Ashton (even tho he is a ex-naaarwich player) or the in form Darren Bent and one of them in your team along side the YAK ATTACK will only do your top 4 push all the good. I also want to no what you think about Bill trying to sell the club is this the reason you are not spending money??? because Bill don't have any.

your views please and good luck for the new season!!! my predicion 5th

EFC wont sign anyone they are in a worse position than Man City at least they have money when Mr Shinawatra clears his name hmmmmm £600M!!!!! EFC in contrast have to rely on loan deals because of theirhopes of a new ground they could well struggle to stay up this season and there wont be Hans Seiger around to help them either --happy days----

we are the only team that looked like breaking in to the sky 4,for the past few years, and in stead of keeping the ball rolling our great board give our manager pennys to spend when all around us there spending big,its a joke.

Moyes is standing by our motto, Nil Satis Nisi Optimum (nothing but the best is good enough). He won't make signings just for the sake of it, yes we do have a thin squad, but the nucleus of the team is strong. This struggle for bringing players in may be a blessing in disguise as he is having to blood young players in the Premiership, giving them vital experience. It's better they gain experience now when the season is young rather than have to bring them in later when something may be at stake and there is more pressure.

Everton have had a lucky escape! I don't rate Tiago at all. He is capable of the occasional moment. I remember a stunning strike against United at Old Trafford for Chelsea. But he's a lightweight with a bad attitude. One season at Chelsea and he'd had enough. One season at Juventus and they want shut of him.

I agree with Mr. Goo on this and glad he's knocked us...

Btw... aint you liverpoo supporters got anything to say about your own team? like how your £43m+ stikers tripped over each other?

N** jocky

I dont see a problem. Of the teams around us, only Spurs have brought in any real quality and evertons inability to bring in new faces is more because of the lack of quality players that are "available".

Man city have only now improved their squad by signing Kompany but otherwise they have no more reason to be optimistic than last season.

Ince has faith in his current squad and rightly so, the only problem being that Bentley needs replacing.

Villa have a much improved squad but that is more down to the very light squad they had last year.

Everton may struggle to reproduce last years performance but that isnt down to lack of board backing or failure to attract players but the same problem that all the chasing pack suffer from.... An inability to get in enough numbers of sufficient quality to obtain the strength in depth required to compete with the top 4.

The order that spurs, everton, city, villa, blackburn, pompey & newcastle finish in will be dictated by how many of the first 11 are consistantly available.

The big spending bottom end teams may even join us in being mediochre this year.

I have an idea.

Bring David Nugent! At least he will join Everton gladly. biggrin Perhaps not exactly EPL class, but we desperately need squad players. DN fit into that category perfectly!
