I see this as a very good move by Ferguson.

Brown is 1st choice.
Neville is club captain and experienced and 2nd choice.
Hargreaves can play there as well as any Premiership RB.
OShea can play there.

So why not send Simpson to a good premiership club. Hopefully he plays 30+ PL games for Blackburn and gets good PL experience so he is ready for next season although I feel he could have done a job against the lesser sides since he is so good going forward.

Is it true that Ronaldo expects to be the next United player to leave without questions asked? This will open up Robinhos transfer to Chelsea..

It's o.k. having up and coming young players, but you can only introduce two or perhaps three per season, great ability in youth is often a poor match for hardened experience

no its not true ..... United are not selling Ronaldo, Fergie will not go back on this! Especially not so Robinho can go to Chelsea ... if Ronaldo was going we would get an agreement to take Robinho ourselves!

I dont think i would like to see him go to United
Robinho is a good player but is not the kind I would like to see at OT

Hes lazy and moody and if we end up taking berba from spurs then were already going to get another one of these nevermind getting him as well

The last thing you need is a team full of players crying if they get shouted at

Let him go to Chelsea

He will fit in well there :P

Good move for Simpson, Blackburn, Man Utd and England. Simpson reminds me already of Glen Johnson when he broke through at the hammers and is very very good going forward but now needs to be tested out to develop defensivley against top players. I agree with Fergie in that there's no point him staying at Utd this season with Neville back from injury and Brown solid and now established at RB or going to a championship side as he's already proved he's moe than good enough at that level.

We have O'Shae as extra experienced cover and Rafel (who from all reports looked very good on debut) if we have a bit of a crisis. Next season Neville proably won't be a factor and Brown though always solid and dependable I always imagine Fergie sees him as a utility defender and probably not a long term option at RB. I think next season we'll have a new RB (ideally from within i.e. Simpson or Rafel) and with hopefully a good EPL season behind him Simpson will be in the best possible position.

I'm a season ticket holder for Ipswich Town and didnt rate Danny Simpson very much. Poor in the air, lacks concentration, positionally poor, made 3 or 4 mistakes which lend to goals. Only good thing he gets forward alot but not Prem standard at all
