I'd like 4 signings

Scottish Premier Celtic
comment on the article

Crosas, Maloney, Tamas and Rat. If we could just get 4 signings like that we wouldn't need another signing for quite a while.

Boruc Brown

Hinkel Caddis
Tamas Caldwell
McManus O'Dea
Rat Wilson

Nakamura Mizuno
Robson Brown
Crosas Hartley
McGeady McCourt

Vennegoor Samaras
McDonald Maloney

Those 4 would win us 4 in a row EASY ,i agree we need to get rid of balde grav and probably free up some more but selling riorden(pity)though.Shaun left for the right reason, following a legend in oneill to a decent premiership club in Villa , i'd welcome him back with open arms.he is quality.whats the story with rat ?

I don't grudge Maloney going in the slightest. It gave us the 1 million to but Hartley from under the noses of rangers (though i doubt he would've signed for them).
It also meant McGeady got the chance to show his potential as up till then Maloney was keeping him out of the team.
Left back and center back are key to this season. Also a holding midfielder after seeing Hartely struggle in pre season - does he have the legs for one more season?...

Wouldn't want to see Maloney back. We're not a feeder club and him coming back would say that it's ok to try a small team in the premiership coz you can come back. Not thanks. Wouldn't boo him, just don't want him back. He wouldn't get a game now anyway.

Personally i think we need a defender and not much else. The Barca bhoy may be a useful addition but i'd love to see someone at CB to settle the defence.

I'd see Maloney back, but for not one penny more than we got for him. He would find the familiarity comforting, recovering from a knock to his confidence and get back to his best - which was quality goals in big games at crucial moments (30 yarder v.Rangers, Clinching goal (1st leg) v Stuttgart).

Tamas will likely cost £3.5m at least, although I'm positive that Lawwell will negotiate part of that as dependent on appearances.

Crosas looks like a promising deal (if it's nailed); £2m for a product of the Barca system, this sounds like van Bronkhorst all over again - 3-5 successful seasons from a genuinely talented player, a level of technique and guile above most off our players; then a bumper fee when he moves onto a top league - that's a steal!
Rat would cost at least £4m, he's been playing solidly for about 4 seasons at domestic and International level; and, in my opinion, he was the next best LB at the Euro's behind Pranjic.

If you're saying we offload Donati to bring back Maloney, then I'd rather keep Donati.

If we do get rid of him it should be to get a proper striker in.

Other than that the balance of your squad looks fine IF CROSAS TAMAS AND RAT sign. Their wages wil mean that we HAVE to get shot of Bobo AND Gravestone

We're more likely to see a cheapo like Robinson come in. Deek would cover his transfer fee and wages.

i agree.centre back and left back. no more midfielders! since strachan took over, the defence has always been the problem! the team is spot on apart from the useless defence.
