Browse: Horse racing Aidan O'Brien - best trainer in the worldby 'And Zarkava cruises past Duke of Marmalade to win the Arc!' (U12680088) 02 August 2008 How on earth has he gotten Halfway to Heaven to stay 10f especially with such a prominent ride from Murtagh? Her pedigree has got miler written all over it. Astonishing. captainchristy2 (U11044784) posted Aug 2, 2008 Fantastic training yes but what about the jockey.. I have waited many long years to see who could match my idol Lester..a couple of days ago the great man's daughter said of JM 'he's the nearest thing to my father i've seen..and you know what- she's right. After Sixties Icon yesterday and HTH today I have to say King Johnny is the best since Lester, end of !! posted Aug 2, 2008 The author of this article has deleted this comment.

thefurlong (U10360288) posted Aug 2, 2008 Lush Lashes was surely not helped with the slow pace, with the two horses stepping up in trip making it.With a stronger pace Lush Lashes would probably have being that he was closing with every stride.I luckily had the winner, with Aidan O Brian and Johnny Murtaghs` group one record this season I felt 5-1 was worth a go.Why wasn`t johnny Murtagh given the job as stable jockey after Mick Kinane?

mnixon10 (U9322856) posted Aug 2, 2008 He is the best trainer in the world by a mile, but he was very very fortunate today. posted Aug 2, 2008 Precisely, Martinbritt, the guy's a total idiot. I refuse to have any comment or post from him on any of my threads. He completely ruins this forum.

Keerglen (U9462011) posted Aug 3, 2008 Championshippoint, if you are going to throw around the names of literary giants to support a point or even be sarcastic then do try and get your facts right. TS Elliot was born in the United States, spent most of his life in the UK and became naturalised British. Correct on all other names.

guiche5000 (U12849684) posted Aug 4, 2008 I think Aidan and Johnny have received too much credit recently. Sure they have won a record breaking number of group 1's but so they should seeing as Aidan has the best bred horses in his yard. The Coolmore machine produces the best horses which would produce the same results regardless of trainer or jockey. The point i am trying to make is that the same horses trained by Hannon and ridden by Moore would get the same results
