Reading the reports coming out of the press today and the reactions of hull city (miny bolton) they really believe that they will get the big man.
I really dont think kevin would join them but with the way meggers has been selling our former heros of late and elmander arriving they are very simular i worry davies could be on his way.
I personally think we should let megson know that if sale went through the fans will turn on him and if he does sancation the sale of davies for such a pitiful fee like 1.5 million we want him out without a ball being kicked.

£2.5 Million for a striker that can't score and will be banned for at least 5 games a season!

Bargain! Let him go!

Its called journalism.

I read this morning that davies was "keen to leave the reebok"

Is he f.ook last week he was interviewed talking about his aims this season.

They couldnt sell the story if they put,
Hull want KD however KD is happy at bolton and bolton have no intetnion of selling him

"£2.5 Million for a striker that can't score"
-------------------------------------------------
Over the years Davies has been at Bolton he has an average of scoring a goal in under 5 games.
Only the top 20 scorers in the league have a better average than that really and they mostly play for Arsenal, Liverpool, United,Chealsea, Totenham etc...

Seems to be a bit of a general "love in" between our 2 clubs due to the huge connection with Browny and the former BWFC stars. I personally have always had a soft spot for the Tiggers since that heady Friday night in '93, the second best away game ever (beaten only by Plovdiv away in Bourgas). Even the "Tennis Ball protest in the cup was amusing, tho it kicking off outside the Reebok wasn't a great experience. I wanted Hull to get promoted as I am sure many BWFC fans did and hope they do as well as possible in the Prem.
Gutted that they got Mendy and let Okocha go (why couldn't they have hung on to him til they played us at our place?). You can have Meite, he would do a good job for you if you can get someone like Abdo Faye alongside him, I will be delighted if you sign Campo so we can give him a heroes farewell, but you cannot, will not, must not sign Kevin Davies.

Unless we now put in a much improved offer & Megson is tempted to accept it, then it's looking unlikely. He risks the wrath of Trotters fans too who think a lot about KD (and rightly so)

We haven't made much progress on the striker front really...

We've got...(out & out forwards)

Folan - should do OK
Windass - don't think he'll be playing full matches but being Deano he'll make some impact..

mentioned.....

Campbell - as time goes by it's looking more & more unlikely
King - dragging on...
Davies - they don't want to sell him, but PB is rumoured to be offering more dosh soon..
Pancrate - plate of crepes!
Makaay - not a thread of truth in that one was there?
Niang - he's got Champions league to look forward to so why move?
Nugent - Might be a late panic buy, right?
Harewood - was mentioned earlier on so could re-surface..couldn't it. no smoke without fire & all that..erm

Kevin Davis must not be sold at any price he may not score many goals but his workrate and ability to hold the the ball up is as good as any striker/midfielder in the premiership, if he is sold Megson will face the biggest fan revolt in premiership history, the recennt situation at the wanderers reminds me of Coventry City in the early nineties when they were selling their best players season after season and it always ended up the same way A Season Long relegation scrap which ultimately they lost, this is what is in store for Wanderers if things start to go the same way.

There's not enough money in Hull to buy Big Kev .... but you have to admire Browny's cheek ! laugh

I can see why they'd want him but while he might actually be worth 2 - 3 million on paper he's priceless in the hearts and minds of Bolton fans.

I really don't think he'll be going anywhere and I will be gutted if he does.
