Thursday's gossip column

comment on the article

Tottenham look set to continue their summer spending spree as they zone in on Russian strike duo Roman Pavlyuchenko and Andrei Arshavin. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foo...

Sunderland boss Roy Keane is still wheeling and dealing, turning his attention to Celtic defender Bobo Balde after signing Steed Malbranque.

Fellow Man Utd old-boy Paul Ince is also trying to bolster his Blackburn squad and is hunting £6m-rated Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant.

Meanwhile, Gareth Barry might still be looking for answers after Villa said Liverpool had missed the deadline to sign him.

What do you make of today's gossip and have you heard any nuggets of your own?

On Barton, even if they have the right to do something how come it's taken till now?! It's hardly as if we lacked evidence that Barton was out of order!

Basically it got put on hold until the police had finished with their investigation. Its not like the FA have only just decided to charge him. Why should he get away with it? And Newcastle should shut up bleating. You can't buy a monkey then moan when it starts flinging shit about.

Yeah, I just heard on the radio that the FA had to wait. I'll let them off this time, although knowing them it probably wouldn't have been much quicker anyway.

I agree though, if the FA have the power to charge him for it then they should do so. From the evidence I read I can't believe he got away with a suspended anyway!

The other night I went out to some club in Mayfair with my mates and we saw Lily Allen. One was trying to chat her up, she gave us two fingers and told us to F ourselves.

I have just seen an article on L,F,C, WEB site that states that the reds allocation for the sunderland match has been reduced by 600 people because liverpool fans are always standing up at the matches what next seat belts i am all for saftey but soon we will end up with football grounds full off dummies with remote control wires so they can clap at some remote controlers response with back ground sound provided from matches years ago
