In athletics or across all sports? Hopefully Idowu will come through this time and gives us a gold in athletics, but I don't see Britain getting more than that. Maybe a medal in the women's 400m, and the relay, the women's heptathlon, and perhaps another relay medal. Can't think of anyone else.

I doubt we'll get near 10 golds in cycling as claimed by others. Some of the events Britain are strong at aren't in the Olympics and I'm worried about Pendleton's nerves. I think 5 or 6 is more realistic.

Ben Ainslie is as near as you could reasonably get to a guaranteed gold and I think we have other gold medal prospects in sailing (if I recall). And we should get a gold or two in the rowing.

I think overall we'll do about the same as Sydney and Athens or perhaps a little better. 35-40 medals, with about 12 golds I reckon.

Why are we so hung up on gold medals surely it is the performance our non drug taking sportsman give that is important.

I think team GB will win between 5-10 golds and hope they will do even better than my prediction. Good luck to all our girls and lads , go on due yourselves and our country proud

I think top 5 in the medals table with the majority of our gold’s coming in the cycling, AT LEAST 14 GOLD MEALDS fingers crossed,

15 or 16 golds is a real possibilty. Since Atlanta with a pitiful 1 gold, we have grown so much as a sporting nation and whilst 4th on the medal table may be stretching it slightly, 5th or 6th place could and should be acheived.
