Signings so far

Premier League Sunderland

I must say that I'm pleased with the work that keano & Quinn have done so far and can look forward to a good season ahead.

Although I still think that we are in desperate need a decent left-sided midfielder and another striker with Jones being injured for a bit. I know who I would like us to go for on that left side and that should go unmetioned but what are your thoughts on which other players we need before the season starts in a few weeks?

Good to see you signing up half the spurs squad. That's a mid table finish and a run in the cups guaranteed then!

Seriously though, good luck for the new season!

Bobo Balde will be a nice addition if the rumours are true, albeit he should've come to the premiership years ago.

Not exactly inspired signings from Keane. Seems to be playing it safe signing average established premiership players. Should easily avoid relegation though. As long as sunderland fans realise that Ramos is no fool and getting rid of these players for a reason.

Keiron Richardson can play on the left and has talent. He just needs focus. I think he can produce big thigs this season.

Likely line up anyone?

malbranque is a quality buy for sunderland. he was easily one of fulham's most talented players and quite rightly held his own in the spurs side. i'm gutted we didn't try and get him back to the cottage to be honest. well done sunderland though... top signing.

Sorry there is no way Downing would sign for a team that finished lower than the Boro last season

LMAO-> sunderland are just like tottenham's second chance saloon. It's like a recycling bin. =D. Malbranque is good but only for the 1st half, then he is knackared.
chimbonda attacks to much and slips up frequently on defensive duties.
And Taino is awful, i used to get upset when he played for us, he is awful.
Roy Keane was obviously such a good player he never had the time to recognise who is talented and who isn't.

Maybe if he must raid spurs which i personally think is good.
If he got Zokora instead of the woeful Taino, he would have a capable midfielder and also a player who can competently play centre back instead of the worst player in the premier league "mcshane"(he makes taino look like Ronaldo).
If he bought Lennon instead of Malbranque, he would have a fitter player with pace.
And with Chimbonda i would have opted for a left back in Nicky Shorey.

but all this is just my critical opinion and maybe these players will do well for Sunderland. Also when Chimbonda and Malbranque were at their prime they were good for us and i couldn't complain but i suppose it is a good time for them to go. But Taino was never good.
