beastchild (U12757764) posted Jul 28, 2008 I have to say I really like the noises this guy is making. I wasn't too keen on his appointment, but after hearing what he has been saying I'm feeliing more and more hopeful about the new season. Changes do have to be made though, in Belfast and at East End Park we were absolutely dreadful, the Lithuanians and Michael Stewart especially. These players need to go, they are simply not good enough for our club.

Celt1967 (U9586680) posted Jul 28, 2008 The trouble is that currently, Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Dundee Utd etc all lack basic quality, regardless of how "lazy" their players may / may not be. The Hearts side of 3 years ago that ran the Old Firm very close had far more quality in it (Hartley, Gordon etc), than the current one has. Simple as that. The money isn't there to compete with the Old Firm, never mind against far better teams than the Old Firm in Europe. i, as a Celtic fan, would appreciate a more competitive SPL, (it would be easier to take if Dundee Utd nicked a title off us than Rangers!) The problem is that there just isn't enough money in Scottish football in general to compete with teams from leagues in England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France. Look at the cut price, budget signings both sides of the Old Firm have been making the last few seasons. it's depressing.

Westhamjock (U9397730) posted Jul 28, 2008 Laszlo has got one thing worng: "Vlad has put lots of money into this club" He borrowed that money (from his own bank) and saddled Hearts with even larger debts than when he took over the club. And will Vlad let Laszlo sack all the usueless lazy Lithuanians? Doubt it, it'll be the jocks that get sacked increasing resentment and undermining unity. Will jambos be a soap opera again this year?
