I have been emailed photos of Bouma's injury and it's not nice at all. I like Bouma, had earmarked him for Liverpool some seasons back when we went looking for LB cover for Riise and eventually got Aurelio. I find him pacy, with strength and applies well in attack and it's a shame he is injured like this to put him out for months. Reitering my best to his recovery, never nice to see or hear of this for anyone in the game, much less anyone in general.

Barry should join a club that will challenge 4 CL. Wigan would be a good option 4 him.

Villa shold sign a left back on loan till bouma returns and a consistent CM as a replacement fo wantaway barry. If it is a players wish he should be allowed 2 leave.

But Villa havn't accepted £15m, so that's a ridiculous comment. The price is £18m, and we've not budged on it. Just because the mighty Liverpool come knocking it doesn't mean we want to sell him. You can't just expect teams to give up payers they want to keep. Hargreaves and Carrick cost more, and they are no higher up Mr Capello's pecking order than Gaz Baz.
Liverpool need to sell before they buy, it's obvious. If what you read in the papers is true, the owners have not been able to show the £400m for the new stadium yet, so why would they part with the cash now?

Wake up, football is a business.

No Genius...18 mil is the asking price and you wont pay that, last i checked 15 is a smaller number than 18, i.e you haven't offered enough which is why we haven't accepted. how about we dangle a pair of trackie bottoms in your face for torres and run off without him when we give em to you

Why is it ridiculous? It was a hypothetical scenario, I said 'IF'. Why did you say AVFC have not accepted when the whole world knows they havent. You're the one being ridiculous, just to say what you had to say. How often are people like you going to say 'the price is such, you havent paid, so no go.'? Think further than that and read back to what my comment was answering.

Right, so because a few idiot Villa fans sang a song about Eduardo, Bouma deserved a serious injury? Hmm.

As for Barry, I don't doubt that Liverpool could afford him if they were willing to pay £18m. It appears that they aren't, so that should be the end of it. It would be nice if Rafa would confirm that they won't pay that much, rather than keep Villa and Barry in limbo. It would be good for Liverpool too, as they could start hunting other targets rather than sit there hoping that Villa reduce their asking price.
