Stoor set for Fulham

Fulham
comment on the article

Sweden defender Fredrik Stoor is finally set to complete his move to Fulham next week.

What do you think of the signing? Has Hodgson brought (bringing) in the right players to the club?

And I missed McBride leaving too - what's that about? The return of him and Bullard kept Fulham up last season!

Schwarzer might be coming to the end of his career, but I would still have kept him at Boro, because now we don't have a keeper of any note.

There are only two centre-backs in the Fulham squad that I think are good enough to play in the Premier League: Hangeland and Andreasen (who is usually played in midfield anyway). In other words, we need to strengthen in that position.

Even though I think Hodgson is paying over the odds for some players, especially Johnson, I'm excited about the possible Johnson/Zamora combination up front.

McBride wanted to leave and go back to America and finish his career. We didn't release him. We offered him a new contract I think, but he wanted to return home.

I was really sad to see him go but after everything he put in the club, he deserved it.

There's still surgery needed on the squad though.
My team would be:
Schwarzer
Stoor, Konchesky, Hughes, Hangeland
Davies, Gera, Andreasen, Bullard
Zamora, Heally
Subs :
Stockdale, Pantsil, Kallio, Murphy, Smertin, Cook, Johnson

-------------------------------
I agree with most of this roster but would have Dempsey in ratehr Andreasen, at least at the start of the season. See how he fairs. And if AJ comes over obviously him an Zamora on top. Healy and EJ subs. Think should have kept Bocanegra as he's a center defender with some quality. He just had a subpar season this past.

Gera will be a great signing for fulham but Zamora has never struck me as good enough for the prem. You know you could have saha for less than AJ I know he spends half the season injured but he will still get you more goals.

I somehow think Fulham wouldn't be allowed to touch Wheater...

--------------------------------------------

I dont think Roy Hodgson or any of the Fulham lads are planning to ''touch'' Wheater....

:P

Stoor is a cracking signing. Not sure whats happening with AJ but think everton can start bringing in some younger players if that happens. Fulham will still find it hard this season, barrys right with the need to have a few more class signings like stoor to ensure top half fini.

Hilarious....for a 12 year old

My team would be

Schwarzer
Stoor Hughes Hangeland Konchesky
Davies Andreasen, Bullard Gera
Zamora A. Johnson

Subs
Niemi
Painsil
Kallio
Dempsey
Murphy
Kamara
Nevland

Other players who should be involved occasionally are Volz, Cook, Davis, Adranik and Healy

Loaned out:
E Johnson

Sold:
C. John (or loaned), Smertin, Bouazza. Seol, Baird.

THen another centre back would be good. I rate Hughes as a decent reserve CB.

"Who is first choice out of Stoor and Paintsil?"

Stoor. And anyone know what is happening with Andy Johnson? Has the deal collapsed?

As a northern ireland fan this may seem bias but do fulham not rate healy or davis. Healy showed he can score goals on the international stage but never seemed to get a steady run at fulham.

Davis on the otherhand was quality for villa at his time there and showed brief spells of this at rangers
