I cant understand why Smith and co are dragging their feet over the wee man from Fulham.

Lets look at what we have..

1. a player who improved the team no end

2. a player who wants to play for rangers

3. a player with the best years ahead of him

4. a player with residual value whom we could sell in a few years if he outgrows rangers

It really is a no brainer and im sorry but if you are forking out 3 million on lafferty, pay fulham what they want, it really is simple, ytou have a tried and tested player and we are looking like numpties scrounging over a few quid.

Its all becoming a bit embarrassing and if he signs some clown instead i wont be happy

We need Davis more than anyone!! I think Walter was on the bevvy last night cos i think today he said we have cover for all the injuries in midfield! What the hell is that about? Was he playing Fifa on the ps3 or something? I know SDM is trying to balance the books before he sells the club but ffs, we need quality. And so far...we don't have them. Come on Watty, get it sorted.

To all who say lets grab Davis to solve our problems I would ask you to remeber one thing. He was a revelation for Fulham for six months and he cam to us as a real Rangers supporter who would die for the shirt but frankly he fizzled out after a few months. Maybe he was a the result of Walters weird playing tactics but I dont believe he has the quality for the price asked. Bring on the young boys and let them be our future, not some reject that is pricing himself out of the market or at least his paymasters and agents are.

He is a good player we should have made a signing priority. He plays for the shirt, there are plenty others i dont think do. I dont want to stoke the Kenny Miller debate but why did we spend the money on him before signing Davis? or why spend on Lafferty before Davis? We lack a creative midfielder of some sorts and in my opinion that should have been a first target for Smith, not two front men.

I believe he was one of the main reasons Rangers played so well in the UEFA Cup not to mention the SPL.He wants to play for Rangers. That is of the utmost importance. We have players like Cousin who's loyalty is questioned all the time.I was disappointed the swap didn't go through.Hopefully they can come to some agreement.I want to see Davis in Rangers colours this upcoming season.

We need a quality midfielder who has the creativity, vision, energy and drive to power the Rangers midfield.

Davis filled a gap alongside BF, but he certainly does not have all the qualities required to cover for BF.

If we need to spend £4 Million on cover for BF, then we need someone who is much more influential than Davis.

Get him in here now Walter!
Davis and Lafferty will thrive off each other.
Miller will also be there for the speedy breaks that Davis will put his way.
WE NEED HIM NOW.
Barry was pretty much absent on the park the last half of last season, as Davis took over the reigns. Barry will not be there for ever.

what annoys me is that soo much of our budget was spent on strikers before anything was done in other areas which needed strengtening just as much (or more, even). Not very strategic. If nothing happens shortly we will have striking talent on the bench and a lack of cover or even weakenesses in other areas.

For a so called big club your chairman is realy tight with his money!
Davis did not travel on our Far East tour so I think he will be leaving us, aparently Blackburn are interested in him but Id rather you get him as he seemed to enjoy being at Ibrox last season.
