Premier League West Ham United
comment on the article

West Ham have signed Lazio's Swiss international Valon Behrami in a £5m deal.

Is he what the Hammers need and will he be a success?

Anyone seen or heard of Woody recently? I was under the impression he was keeping track of WHU's transfer dealings, no?

Thanks Tevez

First of all, for those of you who have any doubt about his ability to adapt to the Premier League, rest assured: this guy was MADE for the PL! And he's always wanted to play there. He's fast, strong, spectacular, committed, constant fighting spirit, and runs, runs, runs.... To give you an idea, his nickname at Lazio is "cavallo follo", i.e. Crazy Horse, because of his constant and at times unbelievable running..

Yes he can play at right back, but he would be somewhat wasted there, he is way better as a right midfielder, he is naturally drawn towards the goal and scores often.

As for his "diva" and show pony reputation, this is totally inaccurate and triggered by his fashion style, he actually is a very quiet and clever guy. Finally, someone called him a Beckham wannabe, which is totally unjustified, he's been dubbed the swiss beckham by the UK press but is a very different player and character.

Mark my words, he will be a HIT (provided he remains injury free), PL behold your new superstar!

Brilliant signing, although i think we do need to down size the squad. I like to see Boa morte, Ljungberg and Quashie go for a start!!

oh my god i am a neutral but to the spurs fan saying dos santos is better etc etc. why the hell would barcelona let a young rising player go if they really though he would make the grade? especially for such a low fee. come on guys use your brains he obviously isnt that highly rated there. i wish you the best of luck with him i hope he does well but barca are not thick they obviously let him go for a reason. on a different point, that bojan lad is something special. the next star of world football, watch out for him.

West Ham got a bargin - as a Spurs fan I think West Ham have made a very shrewed buy in Valon Behrami, he will probably turn out to be one of the best value for money buys made a Premier league club in the last months.

To be fair re dos santos, Barcelona did let Fabregas go to arsenal & he turned out to be not a bad player.

He was ony 17 i guess..
