Day Three at the Open

The Open
comment on the article

It is day three of the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale and it promises to be another tough day for the world's best fully fit golfers.

No Tiger Woods of course, but plenty of interest and intrigue at the top of the leaderboard.

Korean KJ Choi is the only player under par, while Greg Norman holds the hopes for the over 50s at level par.

Add in Colombian Camilo Villegas, the return to form of David Duval and plenty of home interest and it all adds up to a cracking day on the links.

I'm hungry for your top drawer chat.

Repeat glory for Padraig Harrington, or K J Choi as the first Asian.

Not Greg Normal please. He thinks he is golf's God. His mouth will get even louder if he wins.

i would love to see harrington win again!!!

as an irishman, it is great to see him do well and i think he has done fantastically to be contention at this year's open, after his success last year!!!

if he were to win, although there is another round to go, he would surely rank as europe's best golfer this millenium. no european had won a major since 1999, and he is not too far off winning two opens in a row!!!

i will now stop talking about harrington's chances of winning, because last year i was so nervous i didn't think he'd win, and i don't wan't to get ahead of myself!!!

it would also be great to see greg norman win, but i would love to see padraig win!!!

GO ON PADRAIG!!!

If Greg wins and i really hope he does it will be the greatest sporting victory and upset of all time odds of 2,500/1 were quoted before the tournament started, and surely a knighthood for the great man if he wins, i am English but want him to win so much.best of luck.

Greg is widely considered one of the friendliest and most humble men on the tour. I think you're getting him confused wsith Phil Mickleson.

Go on laugh but I feel (and hope) that Davis Love can do it. If he has a good start and gets on a roll he can do it. He is always in the field, defends the Open Championship as "the greatest tournament on Earth" and rebukes his fellow countrymen who don't show. He is modest and a great player. Go on Davis-you can do it.
