£10 million was the price that was written into the loan contract with villa. they piad £2m initially but throughout the season deemed his performances not worthy of the extra £8m (that they had agreed to paying in the first place)...he then becomes a fee agent.
stoke didnt want him for £4m. o'neill doesnt fancy him either...ergo, he goes for £3.25m

Carson is a quality keeper who was too good to be warming the bench at Anfield. People will go on about his mistakes against Croatia but he was made a scapegoat by the media in the same way that David Seaman was during his England career (and nobody really looking back, can say he was a poor keeper can they?)

One game that sticks out in my mind as a Liverpool fan was when he played for us against Juventus at Anfield. He pulled off a couple of world-class saves to keep us in the lead against a quality (and indeed Serie A winning) Juve side, which eventually put us on the path to glory in Istanbul.

I'm sure he'll get a great reception when he comes back to Anfield playing for the Baggies - although hopefully he won't have quite such a blinder!
