Zell182 (U5865013) posted Jul 23, 2008 I think it's a bit harsh to call him a failure at Wigan when he's only been there for 6 months and wasn't really fit. He's never really had a long run in the premiership yet but, as it is with knee injuries, he probably won't be the same player he was for Watford in the 05/06 season.

ChelseaSaffer (U12408750) posted Jul 24, 2008 Personally, I think Hull are looking in the wrong place. What a useless addition to the squad King will be! He's certainly championship material, so unless Hull are looking to go straight back down, they'd better look elsewhere. I'd go for a littlem known south african striker called Excellent Walaza,he's 21 and a definite future prospect.

youngDavieO (U9569538) posted Jul 24, 2008 Watford fan here - think I may have already said this on another thread but hope your medical team know what they are doing. I really rated Marlon when he was fit but his knee injury, suffered when we were in the prem, was career threatening. Ask any Fulham fan why they pulled out of the deal before he signed for Wigan. Informed sources down here say one more knock will bring the end. Hope I'm wrong as he was a good player. Admire your board for backing your manager with his transfer dealings though - best of luck for the new season.
