It looks like the Marlon King rumours are true, Brownie has confirmed his interest in King and it will be a new club record signing, if it happens

I think it's a bit harsh to call him a failure at Wigan when he's only been there for 6 months and wasn't really fit. He's never really had a long run in the premiership yet but, as it is with knee injuries, he probably won't be the same player he was for Watford in the 05/06 season.

Personally, I think Hull are looking in the wrong place. What a useless addition to the squad King will be! He's certainly championship material, so unless Hull are looking to go straight back down, they'd better look elsewhere. I'd go for a littlem known south african striker called Excellent Walaza,he's 21 and a definite future prospect.

Excellent is currently one of the most excellent prospects in South African soccer scoring on a regular basis for his club Orlando Pirates.

In his first full season with his boyhood club Walaza scored 11 League goals.

King scored 1 goal since January 08, very special!

Watford fan here - think I may have already said this on another thread but hope your medical team know what they are doing. I really rated Marlon when he was fit but his knee injury, suffered when we were in the prem, was career threatening. Ask any Fulham fan why they pulled out of the deal before he signed for Wigan. Informed sources down here say one more knock will bring the end. Hope I'm wrong as he was a good player. Admire your board for backing your manager with his transfer dealings though - best of luck for the new season.

I am sure they stand a good chance of going down, but there will be a lot of competition in the 08/09 season. I can see a relegation battle between...

Bolton, Fulham, Hull, Middlesbrough, Stoke, Sunderland, West Brom, West Ham and Wigan.

Meanwhile the premiership will be won by Man U again. Who said the Premiership is fun, personally I find the Championship far more entertaining with a regular change of winners and losers.

Yes i agree the Championship is the most exciting league in the country and dont think the premier league is as good as it is made out to be!
