i too hope that kubica manages to stay in the wdc mix til the end of the season. the more the better as far as i'm concerned. this leaves me wondering if he is simply not a wet conditions driver, if the team has gone off the boil, if he is getting a lot of attention back home and the pressure is telling, or if all my wondering is just premature and he is just having a bad patch as many drivers have done (and are doing).

looking forward to the race tho and hoping for a LH win

Too early to draw conclusions about potential winner on Sunday. I always take the Friday times with a pinch of salt.
If it's wet or changeable, Hamilton will have a good chance of a win. Which will be a real blow to Ferrari on this circuit. But if it's dry then i reckon a Ferrari 1 and 2. With Kimi taking the win.
Alonso looks impressive again, as he will tomorrow but then he is racing on fumes. By the end of the race he will be 7th.

Lewis has just thrashed the rest by .07secs… so what's the excuse this time?

Best car?

Car suits the wet?

He can only drive in the wet?

The others weren't trying?

erm… he had special tyres?

The track for that precise 1m 15secs was at its optimum, by far?

I know there's the rest of the weekend still to go but boy am I getting mighty sick of reading that people are STILL questioning the boy's ability!

I totally agree - why can't people just leave him alone, and let him get on with the job, which he seems to be doing admirably.

I'm off to Germany to do a rain dance now!!!

Does no-one on here get the two friday sessions....its a sham, especially when the friday sessions are damp/wet. Lewis has trounced nobody....do they give out points on Friday evening ! Time and time again someone gets excited about a friday time and rues this come Sunday PM. There is plenty of talent lurking in the grid that was probably trawling around saving rpm, g/boxes, tyres, just logging fuel consumption, set up etc etc. I`m bored of Hamilton mania ....and now it starts during a pointless friday session. If you want to be ott...those Ferrari`s 2 and 3 look threatening eh ?

It does seem that people are getting a little overexcited by the practice session here. It's impossible to tell what the drivers are doing in terms of fuel, or setup/tyre testing, and as such you have to take all practice times with a large pinch of salt. It is obvious that LH did his lap with a low fuel quali setup, but it's less clear what the other drivers were doing.

Reality check done, I will say that McLaren looked like the more hooked up car out on the track. Both drivers looked at home while weaving the car through the Hockenheim circuit, and I generally thought that they looked faster through the corners. I'd be very surprised if McLaren didnt have a little extra pace than the ferraris during quali. But hey, we've only got a couple of hours until we find out :)

Absolutely spot-on Setroc.

LH yesterday said to the media something to the effect that they were getting a little over-excited about what was essentially a testing day. From his perspective, it proved nothing.

Perhaps a few posters here could remember that, too. TODAY is when it counts.
