Satisfactory performance and a job done. Jo looked good but we do ned a midfield "General".

Vassell worked hard but still isn;t good enough, Ireland and Johnson were excellend but Mr Hart made a few mistakes. Still we can look forward to the home leg withoght being "on tenterhooks"

I think Bianchi wasn't involved as he would be cup-tied for a European campaign with another club in Europe.

Yeah, good point. If he wasn't injured, his omission confirms that he's about to be sold.

Think I watched a different game, as I thought Ireland was kack. He bottled out of every tackle and gave the ball away needlessly in our own half several times.

..................

i agree entirley, everything is just in that comment, tbh i thought it was really a great performance, it was very stop starty, lets remember that they are a team of semi-pros and a the team city fielded should of ran them over. i think that johnson should of come off at half time and put elano on, didi looked knackered and this could be seen when he gave the ball away countless times resulting in a free kick out side our area, onuha poor, ball poor. I mean it was a win but there could of been a few more goals, and the introduction of ched evans?? is it because he is welsh???

I hope it was just first game jitters, in defence though the pitch was shocking, a woman ref and that idiotic chant they sang all the way through drove me mad!! i just pressed mute on the tele

it was an ok performance considering how early it was in the season, no injuries which was good. All looked like they lacked match practice but I thought Johno played well, clever step over to set up petrov.

Irland is kak, we need a right midfielder or play elano on the right so he's not marked out of the game but centre backs....it wasn;t our strongest team. Hope like you all suggest, that Bianchi wasn;t left out because he's being sold...
