Just watching boots n' all and steve recons hes had the word that Sam's 2nd scan was not good and hes got to have sholder reconstruction and will have no chance of being on the plane to Oz in Oct. Not good news for england and the bulls. And awful news for Sam himself.

No major worry for England. Someone has to go.

8, Mozza
9, Roby
10, Graham
11, Peacock
12, Ellis
13, Sinfield

Maurie
JJB (who is in the form of his life)

On bench

Sam misses out but still a very strong pack

Bearing in mind his age it's best to get him under the knife now rather than risk a prolonged problem just because of one World Cup tournament though it is extremely sad from him.

I agree with BWIS England will still have a strong pack though without Sinfield and the elephant man as they aren't international quality.

Without Sinfield we havnt got a kicker which = no chance in the competition, but i dont want to go in the Sinfield rubbish again.

Who are you refering to as Elephant man?

Peacock at 2nd row?

I know he used to play there but I prefer him at prop.

I'd have Ellis at loose.

LowMoorBull,

You clearly know nothing about Leeds do youlaugh

Ellis is not a centre! He has been playing centre for the past 2 months and all the tries conceded came down our right hand side. Ellis moved back into 2nd row last week when Toopi came back from injury and in that game we were solid as a rock. Any Leeds fan would agree with me on that one! Ellis is a 2nd Rower!

I think you should have a look at the highlights of the game against Huddersfeild last week. JJB was immmense. His power and offloading was sensational. He is now fully fit and getting better and better every week.

Before his injury there were plenty of non Leeds fans saying JJB for Man Of Steel.

Last time I saw JJB play was against Wigan, he was awful.

I'd have him on the plane to Aus, not too sure about him being first choice.

BWIS - Do you ever watch Leeds? Obviously not judging by that post.

He didn't play at centre against Wigan and you lot got ripped to shreds down that side.

I personally think Sam Burgess should go along with the squad to Australia. If Steve MacNamara was genuinly worried about SB's shoulder they would get him seen to now but as MacNamara stated there is no danger of him causing any further damage.....which in turn means he can play for the bulls against wakey and England against rest of the world!!! Bulls won't win a SL title with or without him anyway so get him mended now if there's enough time...or if he's fit to play the rest of the season he's fit to play in the world cup.
Also with regards to kickers Paul Sykes can kick. I'd rather have him in the team at centre than sinfield in at 13 but seeing we've got tony smith as coach that probably won't happen.
Danny Brough for number 7 anyway! He's opted to play for Scotland because he thought he had no chance of getting into the england squad. Probably correct..BUT he is easily the best positonal kicker in the British game. On his day he's the best half back in the country. He's a big match player and would be perfect for the England team.
