over 6 mill for 2 West Ham rejects - what a waste of money!
Didn't Blacburn pay 3 mill for Santa Cruz last year. He is in a different league to Zamora.
Poor business from Fulham.

I would just like to echo most of what has been said here.
Bobby was a good servant to us and a great guy. He scored a few fantastic goals and some vital ones too.
But despite being a very good player, he is, I suppose, just short of top class. Having said this, I would have preferred to have kept him ahead of Carlton Cole (and obviously the pointless, hopeless, lazy whinger Boa Morte).
As for Pantsil - he has had very few opportunities for us, but has always impressed me with his attitude. And he does actually look like a pretty decent player.
I think Fulham have done quite well out of this. Given a good run of games, both of these players will prove themselves.
I reckon Hodgson is a bit of a shrewdy.
Good luck Bobby and JP.

It is a shame to see two reasonable players go.

With a strike force consisting of Ashton and Bellamy the likelihood of needing additional strikers to cover for periods of absence due to ill health is high. I feel Zamora offers a fuller option than Cole and although Sears will be coming through over the coming seasons he is a different type of striker altogether. As an aside Scott Duxberry is inexcusable in adding further pressure to Sears who should be gradually introduced to Prem Football.

As for JP - great fan favourite would have loved to see him continue to play as offers much more than spector ever will.

I think we will struggle this year without a few quality signings (which dont seem to be on the horizon) especially seeing the amount of deadwood we have in squad LBM, Nigel Quasie!!!!, and conetiously Freddie L!!

When I've seen Paintsil in pre-season he's been almost the flying winger and perhaps he has more of that attacking instinct than Curbs was ready to bank on. With Hammers' current squad, he was never going to be first choice.
Z-man will be a diligent servant.

Good luck to both

I think these could be 2 really good signings. I trust the Hodge. I reckon Zamora will do well. Can't comment on Pantsil but he could do well given half a chance.
I think Zamora is one of those players that gives 110% and wil be loyal, maybe a good link up with Healy?

GUTTED!

Hate it when we get rid of players who want to wear the shirt. Both of them should be given a rousing reception upon their return. Don't blame either for wanting a greater chance at first team football, Pantsil has the energy required in the EPL, up and down all day long. If only Bobby could have been a bit more clinical in front of goal it would have made AC's decision much harder.

Still good luck to the both of them.

I'm normally quite passive about these things, but my 'fellow' Fulham fans have done a good job of winding me up to be honest. In my eyes, Zamora and Paintsil are good signings and just what the team needs. Reading what the majority of West Ham fans have been saying, I am definately under the impression that these 2 are loyal, hard working and worthy of an extended run in any team.

Gone are the days of 'The Man Utd of the South' rubbish, but some of my fellow Fulham fans seem to still be living in this wonderland. Not many people moaned when we signed Steve Market for around 11 million - so in this current climate 6 odd million for 2 decent squad players is good business. Give them all a chance before hanging them Fulham fans!

Bobby Zanora Top man, rubbish footballer. I dont support fulham i have a close friend who is linked with fulham in many ways he told me the names of 2 players who trained with fulham last week andrew johnson (everton) and i can not name the other player due to legal reasons both expected to sign for fulham friday. NOTE you herd it here first

the transfer of john Paintsil is a step in the right direction because west ham were just wasting the Ghanaian international's time by constantly keeping him on the bench....wish him all the best in his new deal with Fulham
