In Fergie we must Trust!

Premier League Manchester United
comment on the article

Come on guys, Fergie has never let us down, so why are people questioning his transfer targets...Quite frankly I would trust fergie every time over any manager in the world and that includes if he wanted to sell Ronaldo.

Why has anyone not mentioned Steve Mclaren as the next number two. Its obvious to me;
Ronaldo goes 70m
Querioz goes
Mclaren in
Ronaldhino in
implies you need a 30 a season goal man
in comes e-oto or someone similar

The `Fergie has never let us down,` statement is not 100% true, don`t any of you remember those goalkeepers?

look guys, the man rarely makes a bad call. he knows what he wants and usually gets it. he will do whats right for manu always. that includes the self rightgeous arrogant portugese SLAVE!!!! personally i would dump him and take the money. what people forget is that we won 8 premier leagues before him, and since his arrival have won 2 more BUT LOST 3! yes he had agreat season but he didn't win it by himself and i would rather have berbatov and villa all day long. nani will be as good in time. so go judas take your peices of gold and long may you fail miserably in spain like most other exports who went for the greener grass!!!!

Before i get massively slated, this is a logical piece(I hope) from a Liverpool fan. Now whilst I dont particularly like SAF, I have the upmost respect for what he has achieved in the game and i think he is without doubt one of the top five managers in the game ever.

However, and this is only a question, how successful do you really think he has been in the transfer market? Personally i think he's been incredibly lucky in that he's been at Man Utd and has had the money to buy players.

Yes every manager gets them wrong, but there are quite a few who spring to mind with SAF - Veron, Kleberson, Djemba Djemba, Taibi, Forlan, Ricardo to name but a few.

The reason people are quick to jump on the bandwagon and say SAF is brilliant is because he hasnt had to risk anything. Look at the current squad. Giggs, Scholes, Neville, Brown all came through the ranks. Of the others, I'd say he either paid over the odds or was signing "sure things" Ferdinand 20 mill +, Rooney 20 mill +, tevez 20 mill plus, Carrick 18 mill, Hargreaves 20 mill +, Nani and anderson (dont know the exact prices).

I would say the only "coups" he has pulled off are Ronaldo (10 mill) Vidic (7 mill)and Evra (4 mill).

I dont think transfer dealing and spotting bargains is one of his assets. It doesnt have to be of course, you have the money.

Please dont treat this as an anti-Man Utd or SAF post - I'm trying to make a logical point and giving an opinion - would like to know what you think.

as manc fan i'd just like to say these choice names.....

kleberson
djemba-djemba
blanc

some people put veron in that group but i still think he was quality he just didnt gel

and on the opposite end of the spectrum

cantona (coup)
schmeichel (coup)
irwin (coup)
bruce (coup)
pallister (coup)

all of the above 5 complete bargains and quality players and the backbone to the mufc winning team of yesteryear.

fergie is human and generally 2 out of 3 signings dont work out.
