Bentley/Robinson & the Maccelsfield game

Hey, Spurs fan in peace.

I just wondered if any of you know if Bentley is playing for you tonight or will he even be at the game?

If rumours are to be believed we are on the verge of signing Bentley for around £12m plus Paul Robinson. Can I say first of all that I agree with many of my fellow fans that Bentley is not worth £17m BUT I also agree that Blackburn have every right to demand such a fee considering todays inflated transfer market. I mean, is Barry worth £18m? Is Robbie Keane worth £20m? Is Adebayor worth £30m+? The answer to all is no but their clubs deem these players to be very important assets who are under contract so they have every right to demand these silly amounts of poaching clubs. Bentley is young, a full England international and is under contract at Blackburn.
I'm not sure how you guy's feel about getting Paul Robinson, although I've always seen Brad Friedel as one of the most under rated keepers in the EPL. With Paul Robinson you guy's will be getting a keeper who, if we rewind 1 year - 18 months back, was England's undisputed No. 1 and was having a great time at WHL. All of a sudden his confidence went, for whatever reason, and his form dipped dramatically. IMO, all he needs is a fresh start and a chance to build his confidence up and I have no doubt in my mind that he will be England's No. 1 again at some stage.

Sorry about the rant. Any team news on tonight's game?

Man utd lose Rooney and Ronaldo
Arsenal lose Fabregas
Chelsea lose Terry and Cech

all 4 teams will finish higher then Villa but it would effect any team to lose there top players..

So when Villa lose Barry they bottom 3?

hahaha, bentley wants to go to a better team and spurs think that's them!
spurs didnt get into the top half of the table for the entire season,
untill Ramos turns them round, they are not a good team.

i think he would do better to stay, but he will want a top4 team

I don't understand Bentley wanting to play in the CL.
With those extra games, won't he be too tired to play for England ..... if picked?
