he didnt exactly say he was staying, he said if i am not transfered then i am staying which normally means 'if the club sell me which is what i want, then i will go', players twist things

yeh but at least he aint sulking like most players. at his age, most players would jump at the chance to join a team like utd or arsenal.

blackburn fans should be grateful they have a player with a great attitude

I don't think Roque has said anything particularly ground-breaking here. If we were to accept a bid from a bigger club then he'd be off, just as any other player would be. The pleasing thing is that there are still footballers who possess a degree of professionalism and I'm glad he's not gone down the route of a certain other Rovers player. It's very easy for players to give interviews to Sky Sports from an exotic holiday resort wearing a metrosexual, unbuttoned shirt. Or even easier to have their agents circulate idol gossip in the Great British press.

As a Man Utd supporter, and a closet Blackburn fan, I actually hope Roque stays.
He was terrific for Rovers last season, and having both Hughes and Roque leave this summer probably wouldn't do much for their hopes next season.

Roque the Rover for at least another season

good ol santi, i know he hasen't promised to stay but at least he's honouring his commitment- no p**sing and whining- no claiming he's a slave and no ultimatums. he's not holding us to ransom and neither are we holding him to ransom.
