mossey-uk (U11600750) posted Jul 11, 2008 Inconsistent though he was - on a good day he was terrific, and could win games for Leicester. I shall be sorry to see Andy go - but could be the start of a really bright period for the Tigers after the mess they nearly made of last season.

BlokefromBroughton (U6816869) posted Jul 11, 2008 I must have been watching a different Andy Goode to many here. He is inconsistent, admittedly, but can also be brilliant and imaginitive. It had become fashionable at Welford Rd to knock him, but he was the top points scorer last season and this is not achieved by a player who can't play under pressure. How many games last season were not "pressure" games? I don't recall seeing them.

glosglosglos (U10802563) posted Jul 11, 2008 havent heard anything about leicester signing hernandez, although you if you think about it this way, flood wants to play 10 and he would have heard the hernandez rumours, so it would have been unlikely flood went to leicester if he thought he would be playing under another better fly half just like at newcastle - thats why he moved. plus centre is already pretty much covered if rabeni stops going crazy so ye thats my view sorry leicester fans! glad goode has gone, seemed to play crap all year, apart from against gloucester, maybe we might win something this year!

rugbyman10 (U4946363) posted Jul 11, 2008 I think It's a great chance for Jonny Wilkinson to join a club where less pressure will be taken off him as he would be surrounded by top players. I think his game would excel enormously if he moved to leicester. What do you think?

Sheff Hatter (U1671659) posted Jul 12, 2008 That certainly would be a bold move rugbyman10! From what I know of Wilkinson's character though, I would expect a change of club and location would be pretty disastrous. A few years back I think it would've done him a world of good, although I'm sure he'd have suffered a wobble in the process.

Sam (U6583071) posted Jul 12, 2008 The rumours are that Tigers have told Wilkinson theres a contract ready for him whenever he decides he wants to leave Newcastle. I think it would do him good to move on he's stagnated at Falcons and should go and play for a team that plays to his strengths like Tigers.

Sam (U6583071) posted Jul 12, 2008 Been rumoured for a couple of weeks but seems to be completed should be an announcement next week. A good kicker but will have to play well to secure the 10 shirt.
