Wednesday's gossip column

comment on the article

It's all about Luiz Felipe Scolari and Frank Lampard in this morning's papers.

news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foo...

Some say Lampard wants to leave, the new Chelsea manager apparently wants the midfielder to stay but Roman Abramovich is refusing to meet the 30-year-old's contract demands.

The Gareth Barry, Cristiano Ronaldo and Emmanuel Adebayor transfer sagas get the usual mention.

Andy Johnson looks to be on his way out of Everton, with Wigan confident of capturing the England striker for a club record fee of about £11m.

In other news, former Liverpool No2 Pako Ayesteran is a candidate to become Alex Ferguson's new assistant manager.

Let us know your thoughts on today's gossip and tell us who you would like your club to buy/sell this summer.

ciriano: that is alright then. Just thought you were trying to get everyones "expert" opinions.

You also said if Liverpool win the title would they be able to defend it.

I am so confident that Liverpool will NOT win the 08-09 title that I promise to walk the length of Queens Drive with only a sandwich board and a pair of trainers on saying "I was wrong" whilst singing You'll Never Walk Alone. Remember i'm also an Evertonian so that just shows my confidence.

I would like to see arsenal sell adebayor and invest that money into a new transfer one being a striker to replace adebayor and the other being an centre back because i feel as if gallas could become a weakness for example last season when he went and sat on the half way line agaisnt birginham didnt he think about the consequences of he ball hiting the bar and him having to defend, also while i am on gallas i would also like to see him lose the captancy and perhaps see a more fitted player for this role, perhaps toure or fabregas.

Hahaha!!!

On a side note... am I the only one who doesn't see anything paticularly good about David Silva!!? I can't seen him Euro 2008 win or not being good enough for any of the current top 4.
