Tuesday's gossip column

comment on the article

New Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari started work at Stamford Bridge on Monday and there is plenty of chat about his plans in Tuesday's paper.

news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/foo...

A lot of talk about Inter Milan target Frank Lampard - apparently Scolari wants him to stay and Lampard doesn't want to leave but has not been offered a new contract yet.

The likes of Andriy Shevchenko, Florent Malouda, Claudio Pizarro, Steve Sidwell and Carlo Cudicini will all be allowed to leave according to reports, while Brazilian defender Roberto Carlos says Scolari has asked him to sign for the Blues.

The Gareth Barry and Cristian Ronaldo transfer sagas continue to rumble on too.

Let us know what you think about today's rumours and also if you have any of your own.

And who would you like to see at your club - and who would you like to see the back of?

Eduardo is arguably the best finisher in the premier league.
----------------

Based on what!!? Remember he hadn's scored his 1st goal till Nov... then broke his leg in Feb. There is absolutly not enough foundation for that statement.

If Liverpool signed the players written CAPITALS we'd defo win the league. This would be a class team!!!!!
Reina
LAMH Carragher Agger Donessa
Mascherano
QUARSEMA Gerrard Alonso SILVA
Torres/DAVID VILLA

No they wouldn't. A very good 11 but the squad would still be poor in comparison to United and Chelsea's, and there is no way that 11 would start more than half the games with Rafa's record for rotation.

I'm a spurs fan and this is the team i would like to see start this season. Bold players new recruits.

GOMES
Hutton / A.FERDINAND / Woodgate / Bale
BENTLEY / Jenas / Modric / Dos Santos
Keane / Berbatov
----------------

Why's everyone writing of King? He's been fit for a few months and was only missing for the last couple of months cos Spurs season was a dead rubber and they gave him a proper rest.

Anyway Dos Santos is still a devloping player and a little lightweight, in fact Jenas aside that whole midfield looks a little lightweight physically. I still think you'll need a more established and conventional LMF. Lennon on the left would probably be a better option than Dos Santos anyway IMO.

Born_Again - with those players hypothetically their squad would be more a match for Utd's. They'd have the likes Carson, Hyppia, Skretl, Aurelio, Auerlio, Babel, Lucas, Kuyt, Benayoun one of those players named (there are 12 players on that list) for cover, would be pretty healthy.

Why does Adebayor think he should get over 6 million a year???
thats over £100000 a week and he'd expect bonuses for this and that on the top...Hes only an average premier league striker.
with the service he gets strikers like crouch and bent could convert the same as him. Crouchy isnt played and bents service is worse. That is the difference between them.

Well I think that the first bit of positive news I have heard for some time that actually shows the players that the clubs are their bosses is (fat) Ronaldinho not being released by Barca for the olympics. Considering the mega money he has refused to go to man city I completely agree that he shouldn't swan off to play for Brazil when he just wants to bench warm in barcelona and stay out on the lash all night....allegedly!!!smiley (snigger)

1-0 to Guardiola. This Barca team could be good in the CL this year.

I can't believe you are all still going on about liverpool from around 0900 this morning. Give us a break lads.

If Adebayor gets purchased for anything over £30 million I really will be expecting Dumbo to fly past my window at work.
