Well... what can be said about that match. It had drama, excitement, rain and tears!! The best match i have seen for years and in the end both players deserve credit for what were not the best conditions, for playing tennis in.
Both players played their part in a classic. Royalty, Tennis legends, family and friends were their to cheer on their heroes. I am a huge Rafa fan but no one can take away the fact that Federer has the heart and grace of a champion....he will be back.
But for now it is Nadal's turn to celebrate, afetr almost five gruelling hours he showed why he is now on the way to a number one spot and catch match Federer on his favoured surface.
Tonight, it was the game of Tennis that was the true winner, two competitive, sporting players have earnt respect from non-tennis fans from around the world. This can only bode well for the game of tennis.
Long live this battle between two of the greatest sportsmen in the world today!
