Now can Wenger stay?

Arsenal
comment on the article

This is response to a earlier article and others. Wenger has done well in the recent times. Did I imagine the two cup finals and top 4 finishes? Was it my eyes playing tricks on me when Arsenal played brilliant football? For, Arsenal aren't in a dire finacial postion and if they were it wouldn't be Wenger's fault. Anyway, Wenger makes Arsenal play brilliant football which is entertaining, which is what I really want to see. I don't play money to see a 1-0 victory which was really boring, I want to see great football in all departments, even if the result ends up being nil-nil!

Here Here! I totally agree with everything you say. In Wenger we have the best manager around, he has never let us down even if we don't have current silverware I would rather watch them play than any other team that does.

If Ade wants to go then let him, he will spend the whole of the rest of his career regretting it, as will Flamini.

Rival fans and media know this is the time to pile pressure on him - because they want him out - because they know he's the best.

Wenger IS Arsenal, if he ever goes, no coach could ever replace him or accomplish what he has. He may get criticised over his transfer policy, but look at these example of clubs spending big money and where that player has failed to play well:

Andriy Shevshenko - £30m - Chelsea
Florent Malouda - £13.5m - Chelsea

Whereas Wenger has bought players for almost half the amount of money and they have played better and offer just that something to team.

GoosePundits - as biased as you might be, there is clearly only 2 candidates for best manager in England title. One has won more titles but the other has won titles AND plays better football AND completely revolutionised English football AND is better in the transfer market - anyone can spend shedloads of money if they have it, that doesn't make you a good manager.

There is only one Arsene Wenger. And even if I said Fergie was better, WOW - Arsene would be the 2nd best manager in England.

The dude says best manager around, ok, so, who is better than him ? Ancelotti (unlimited funds but does badly in the league) ? Mourinho (unlimited funds at Chelsea - won with Porto in an uncompetitive league) ? Ericcson (fantastic manager - but why better than Wenger ?) ? Capello (on another level of great admittedly) ? Rikjaard (do me a favour) ? Trappatoni (another fantastic manager admittedly) ?

Only Capello and Trappatoni I say are better managers based on what they have done with multiple teams. You cannot underestimate how good a manager Wenger is compared to the others, Fergie might edge it here in England in most people's eyes (not mine) but clearly - Wenger is one of the best manager's in the world.

Once again the Hothead is right on again and completely accurate. Well said. This restores my faith - there are obviously some really intelligent and perceptive Arsenal supporters around.
