Another Championship transfer up-date

Championship Nottingham Forest

Here's the latest on those transfers-confirmed/completed,in the Championship,as a balance to all those rumours about our own,and other clubs.
By lunch time on July 6th,the transfers into Championship clubs(including season long loans)had risen by a further 22 players since my article of June 27th,of which 9 involved fees.12 players were transferred from Championship clubs in the same time time,of which 2 entailed fees. This now means a grand total of 56 players have moved to Championship clubs since the end of last season, and 51 have left Championship clubs, with fees involved in 30 of the incoming transfers and only 13 of the outgoing.
A couple of weeks ago, many Forest fans were agonising over what they saw as a lack of signings on our part. Now,only 2 teams-Derby and Barnsley ,with 8 and 5 acquisitions respectively -have brought in more players than us,although Blackpool,Burnley,Palace,QPR and Swansea, have also signed 4 like ourselves. However,at this time only Derby, with 7 departures, have released more players than ourselves ,with 5 leaving the CG.
There are still several teams who have done little or nothing in the close season:Reading and Watford are still to sign a player, whilst Preston(who have only made one signing) Southampton and Wolves have not transferred anyone either.
With 24 teams in our League, most clubs are averaging 2 or less signings at the moment, and a large proportion are free transfers. If one discounts Derby, with their determination to start next season with what amounts to an entirely new team,no-one can accuse CC and his aides of sitting by idly, and above all, quality, rather than quality, seems to be our watchword. It will be interesting to see the level of activity over the next few weeks.

Very interesting,

I try NOT to be biased but usually am ,however I DO feel in terms of quality and improvement to the Squad we have so far made the most significant signings in the Championship.

Derby fans must be deluded they are struggling to offload numerous squad members whilst scouring the Bosmans, the only Players of any quality have been cashed in yet still they try to gloat at us over the leagues most silly, stupid Player.

Next week could be highly significant and a whole lot of fun,
been a while since it's felt this good to be a Forest Fanok

And well done Hamilton

I love it how many times it says Derby in this article.

Keep looking up to us.

Thanks for showing you care, minnows.

undyingred,

i'm not usually one for pointless pendantry but wolves did sign sam vokes, southampton have spent all summer trying to get clearance for their new manager which may explain their inactivity ok

of course, it has no relevance to us what southampton or reading are up to, but i'm at work till seven and fed up enough to resort to pedantry winkeye

"Wolves have not transferred anyone"

Wolves have signed Sam Vokes, David Jones and Richard Stearman!

If you are talking about departures from Molineux... then you're correct.

ok

you have to love the contribution of sheep nagger..he comes here to find mockery in the fact that derby were mentioned in the title thread ( if they were not mentioned he would also have had something to say )then goes on to say thanks for showing you care minnows..yet he's the one looking us up on the forest pages. Now who really has the hang up us or him? When you see me on your pages nagger then you can say I give a hoot about a hoofed animal, but while ever you show your face here..it appears you're the one keeping tabs on us. Before you tell me you've seen me on the wooly pages..only when Mostyn has posted a thread on both pages for replies from both fans.

Stephen Hughes on a free??? could be worth a punt. Lots of experiencs in CCC, and a couple of years left in him ok He just doesn't fit in with Coleman's plans this time and he's been here 4 years, time to move on. You could do worse Good luck this season,I'm glad you changed places with those sad Foxes biggrin
