His name his Ross Brawn.

Before he came along, Ferrari where in a complete mess.

The designer (Jack Barnyard) stayed in GB and faxed his ideas to Italy. The Italians were all drunk and spent their time throwing spaghetti at each other.

Ross got the brits in to sort the place out.

Now he as left they have no clue what to do.

Freewheeling,

It is John Barnard, not Jack Barnyard!

Was checking some news for the coming German GP this weekend – nothing yet…

Info only about Mr. Mosley and his affairs and “personal” (quite public though) life and….a lot of info for that British GP still on the display….

(Started writing an article / comment with my views and observations for this year’s Silverstone GP and was clearly impressed with some of the views published after the race. Some very good stuff and comments. I wanted to get “involved” with the “action” on Forum 606 Formula 1, but busy life, etc. and my comments are somewhere around…. )

But (of course) I couldn’t help it today not to write something. (As you can open your BBC Motorsport pages for yourself and see what info is currently available).

So, quite nice though (for me) as looks it is not so late to share one or two comments. I think it is going to be just one, cause if I start saying about Honda, Barichello, Ross Brawn, the rain, the tyres, the strategies, Ferrari, Massa, Kimi and so on and so on would be very long.

So that one comment only….

'Best victory' delights Hamilton” …. The Title for the Link…

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7492383.stm from 6th July” – That’s the Link and the story….

“Lewis Hamilton has hailed his triumph in the British Grand Prix as the greatest victory of his career.” – That’s how it started…. And I stopped reading it and started writing…

That one comment of me this time – WHY EVERY (before was every other one, now is mainly EVERY) VICTORY LEWIS HAMILTON SAYS “IT IS MY BEST VICTORY”. “That’s the highlight of my career”, “Greatest victory” and you can check and add all the other remarks for yourself too.

How many “BEST victories” he has?! It looks and sounds that EVERY victory is his BEST. And some of them are even “BEST EVER”….

Have to stop here with the comment for the guy, because immediately I would be labelled “one of the haters of Lewis Hamilton”. And I am not, but can’t find the right word to describe his comments about his victories.

Just want to add that I think even if LH start saying; “This is ONE of my best victories” would not be appropriate even then. For now. Because some victories are deserved, some not so much, some are lucky, some are not so lucky, some are given, some are “taken”, etc. etc. And you DEFINITELY have these real, hard fought, almost impossible VICTORIES. THEY ARE TRULY THE BEST. THEY ARE EVEN “ONE OF THE BEST VICTORIES”.

That are the stories in every SPORT and every sportsman experience all sort of victories…

well it wa obvioulsy his favourite victory- because not only was he on home turf- with home fans

and it was great to get back in the running after his last two poor showings!

i dont really understand why you have a problem with him saying what is obvioulsy the truth!

One of the problems for modern day sportpeople is that they are now media stars and are obliged to comment every half hour on something or other. The days when James Hunt could tell a journalist: "P off I'm busy ask me later" are long gone.

So, don't get too upset by the comments of sportspeople. They're performers not politicians. They usually say the first thing that comes into their heads, often to be regretted afterwards.

As for the advantages of being a top sporting "personality" today......

"He once claimed that he personally offered the go-kart driver Marco Ardigo a seat in the F1 Ferrari."
Never said that. Pure lie. Never said I "had a plane with better wheels than an F1 car." Typically low class British people telling lies.
