Goncalves gone on a season long loan

I'm not opening up a debate on the pros and cons of Goncalves as a player here.

But what I am concerned about is the fact that we seem to be quite content on letting players slip away from the club without any sign of lining up replacements. Like it or not, Goncalves was a regular first teamer last season and he's now gone.

We are getting weaker and weaker by the day.

This is NOT how I saw our summer panning out. The only news to come out of Tynie right now is people leaving. It doesn't even seem to be set against any recognisable plan of out with the old, in with the new.

I'd actually be MORE heartened if there was no news on a manager, as it would at least allow me to fool myself into thinking that some new guy was lined up and the comings and goings were on his wish.

But, nope, instead our clubs simply falls apart and gets weker by the day...

Thoughts?

should i add to my last statement that i hope they are not from the conveyer belt of talent from the reserves of these teams. maybe that is being unfair. i dont mind getting the odd one or two who do genuinely show promise but not just anyone in the hope they will make it big. i dont see these teams in action so cannot judge their league but i cant imagine its at the same standard as what is required for the spl

I think the fact that the predominant sport in Lithuania is basketball says it all!

Totally agree geordie, I don't mind bringing in players of genuine promise, but we don't want to be bringing them in for the sake of it.

i know its annoying that we get them all on loan but having read the recent articles about talks with potential managers that seems to be vlads masterplan. i hope he sees that we just cant rely on youngsters from over their as that would have disastrous consequences for us as a club with all local and any young talent choosing to go elsewhere

You're right, Pinigol, it doesn't look like we're going to struggle to field 11 any given week

We have a lot of real quality in midfield if someone can get them playing as a unit.

I think we have a reasonable back four in Neilson Karapidis Berra (who wont be there) and Wallace but are very very light if anyone is injured

Upfront we are in trouble.

To be completely honest, our whole team is built upon quantity not quality. Thats why our team has been in decline since Burley left. Too much of the team is built on samey players, with only a few stand out players to name eg. Kingston,Neilson,Berra,Driver,Aguiar to name a few.
I'm just hoping Romanov has some sense into not filling the gaps again with loan deals to players who arent even bothered to play in a maroon shirt in the first place=P

It says on the Hearts website that he has signed a new 2 year contract with HEARTS and has gone on loan. So, it would appear that his registration is owned by Hearts and not KCK and it also looks like Vlad told him he was going nowhere unless he signed a new contract first.

Rather than just letting him go for free, someone else pays his wages for a year and we get a fee if the transfer becomes permanent - what's not to like about that piece of business?

tut typos. KCK? I meant FC Kaunus

And btw, I see he is off to play in the Easy Credit Stadium. How appropriate!

And is he going to Nuremburg on trial? winkeye
