Fantastic news!!!

Moroccan midfielder Mehdi Taouil has signed a new three-year contract with Jim Jefferies' Kilmarnock.

The 25-year-old joined the Scottish Premier League outfit on a short-term deal in October, having previously been with French club Montpellier.

He impressed manager Jefferies sufficiently to win a contract extension until the summer.

Now, despite interest from other clubs in the SPL, Taouil has committed himself to a long-term deal.

Starting to look forward to the new season already, just hope we can get another striker in or two.

Great signing IMO.

Can hold the ball, creating spaces for others to run into - Bryson for example.

And can and will cut defences open.

Best signing JJ has made in a while.

one4col u not think ur bein unfair on Gibson? He did finish top scorer last season! Even though that is because Nish left, I felt in his limited appearances he did more than others. His crossing could improve but lets hope there is big competition next year and they all kick on

I still like the look of Gibson - he was flung in at the deep end due to injuries and perhaps a season adjusting to life in the SPL would have been best. Lets reserve judgement until this season as this is the one that'll make or break him.

gibson is okay, for a winger his crossing is shocking. mehdi signing on is superb final ball could be better but still great to keep him. 3 year deal that gives JJ 2year to find a replacment!!

Gibson's crosses are poor, but they will get better with practice im sure. Plus he is the first real winger we have had since Burke and Bagan so lets give the lad a chance. (Sand dancing Stevie Murray dont count as he was mince winkeye)

I too have never been a great fan of Taouil and remain unconvinced about him But I do congratulate JJ on what could be a great bit of business. The boy has an undeniable bit of class and in the right team could be its focal point. Whether thats Killie I am prepared to be persuaded.
IMO he will move to a bigger club whether he has a good bad or indifferent season/seasons. I hope he has 2 great seasons and a EPL team bids big bucks.Everyones a winner bubbly

Mehdi is a great signing who will no doubt make us a profit & fair play to him for realising that regular 1st team action is the best way to increase your value ok

I`m also a Gibson fan but the boy really can frustrate at times... so often he fails to go past & ask enough question of the full-backs, especially when there`s about 20 yards of space to utilise... but if Wullie plays to his potential he could easily bag around 10/12 goals & twice as many assists per season, so it`s up to him to improve...!

Spot on bunion, gibson could be a good player for us and the financer in me looks at sell on value of all our under 25's hopefully they will improve and bring in some dough to the club, by moving onto (dare i say it) a bigger platform to perform.
