Club statement both are going to sell up, Now i wonder where are we going to go now next season ? could this be the reason why we have yet to sign any players this season ?

Im not sure if it is good news or bad.

Worrying times

Perhaps this explains.. why things have been so quiet.. I fear your analysis on a previous posting may not be the case RookeryMike....Perhaps we haven't purchased because the club is in flux etc etc... I hope not...

Until we find out whether any potential buyer is actually around then this is neither good news or bad......it is clear that Simpson and Ashcroft have wanted to sell for a while if they have entertained a potential bid...it is also clear that Simpson & Ashcroft are businessmen........just to test that theory why don't you offer them 5p per share for their stake....I think you'll find that they turn you down.....they have both been great supporters of Watford but they are there to make money......nothing wrong with that......they cannot simply sell their shares unless there is a buyer and until there is one I would suggest that they will be trying their utmost to ensure the success of the club......moreso now than ever before......RookeryMike your comment is particularly absurd......if you do not understand how business works then you might take lessons from Simpson himself!!!

Morning clingo

Heres the story

PFA chief in to help Hasselbaink

Hasselbaink joined Cardiff last summer on a free transfer
Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink has called in the Professional Footballers' Association to help solve a contract dispute with Cardiff City.

Hasselbaink, 36, claims he is entitled to a new deal after playing a certain amount of games for the Bluebirds last season.

But the club say the clause in his contract was waived verbally.

"When there is a dispute, you refer to what is down on paper in the contract," said PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor.

"If he played a certain number of games, his contract would kick in for another year.

"It's clearly an unsatisfactory situation we've got.

"I've spoken to Peter Ridsdale and we are looking to resolve the situation around the table without having to resort to a process of law either in football or in the courts.

"You can't force a club to have a player, but if they don't want him, they should make adequate compensation towards him for that contract."

Hasselbaink played 44 games and scored nine goals as Cardiff made it to the FA Cup final and narrowly missed out on a play-off place.

Scooby Doo -

The relevance of the transfer embargo, that we WERE under is that we couldn't have signed anyone from April 25th until the other day.

I was stating that now we are out of the embargo, maybe we WILL SIGN SOMEONE!

Indeed I have Ross, however, I've been away since thursday, so only been able to get on here tonight.

Oh yes, the egg is well and truly splattered on my face, but it's been more than the 48 hours you promised winkeye
