What now for Mr Carvell?

Would you pick him for the rest of the season now he has stuck two fingers up?

Are we gonna have to due to injuries??

How will the supporters reaact when he runs out sunday??

We are in the limelight for the wrong reasons AGAIN this season.

Cheers Gareth.

Gareth Carvell was indeed given a dead line to either accept or decline the offer that was put to him.
Seeing as this offer has been on the 'table' for some time, and Gareth has dragged his feet for some time, I think it is reasonable to accept the only pressure asserted was by Gareth himself by 'stringing along' the FC board.
He has made his intentions clear now so it's no good keeping a player who thinks he can better himself elsewhere.

i would not play him unless i really had to. i think its the right time for him to go, hasn't played many games this season injuries starting to set in.

We're paying him so we might as well play him.

Let's see if he puts in the effort he says he will and then drop him if he doesn't.

If he gets injured (which he might well given his record and our luck this season) that will be just too bad won't it?

Hull FC will play Carvell, obviously with their injury situation & the money they are paying him at the moment. Good comment earlier, most of would move employers if the finances were much better. We know that does not appease the fans though.Thats how it is. Secondly as he is signed up, FC will play him......as you remember they even play guys who are not signed up.....ooooops! Sorry Mr Thackery !

as i've said before, if he wanted to leave he should have

A- come out and said "i want to leave" before he signed his contract, and he would have all FC fans wishing him the best

B- Not told us in the paper he wanted to stay

C- Not signed the contract

Also, your comement about Thackers is way off, he was signed as a player, but AFTER the cut off day to play in the CC until we got to play Bradford

My comment was spot on "Offy". We all know Thackers was a signed up player.....just not for the CC. Tongue in cheek sir, tongue in cheek ! We'll bring u some bags of humour with us in a couple of weeks. Ps Thackers & Carvell are probably two of the best (British) props in SL on their day.

We all know Thackers was signed up,just not for certain CC rounds. It was tongue in cheek sir, tongue in cheek, the serious part was the initial comments. I could bring some bags of humour to KC in a couple weeks for you. All joking aside Thackers n Carvell, on their day are as good as any British props in SL. Its a shame they cant play in tandem next season. doh

Since Thackers came back he's been outstanding!!!

Before he left he was just as good, i think Thackers Washy and Wheeldon should be signed up ASAP!

Garreth Carvell will not be hated for wanting to leave the club but in the manner in which he's done it. Why sign a new contract just to say he wants to be released from it the day after!? I'd hate to be him running out onto that field on Sunday, but it's his own fault i suppose.
