Compo For Round Services?

Premier League Everton

If, as is reported - Steve Round only has a day left of his contract, why are we arguing over compensation?
Surely it's now up to himself where he would like to continue his promising career as first team coach.

Why go for clarke. When round is obviously alot better. All clarke did at chelsea was hold onto the strings in which he was hung on and followed them.

If there's a Toon offer on the table before the annual termination date, Round can reject it.
If there's no such offer by this date, Newcastle have forfeited their right to compensation!
Either way Round can enter into a contract with Everton after this date has passed.
Term contracts are simple instruments of day-to-day business law that anyone of average intelligence-even lawyers, can understand and sign with confidence! What's all the fuss about?

Yak also worked with McClaren. biggrin

And BTW what David Moyes achieved before moving to Everton? winkeye Unknown man (pretty much) came and look where we are as a club today.

Give Round a chance. If DM thinks that Steve is the right man for the job I belive him 100%. ok

Now for pet sake sign some PLAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!blue

Round was subject to a lot of attention from Chelsea who wanted him but due to Big Phil only starting a few days ago they couldn't get their man. Great work by Moyes, he will be a success.

I'm sure we all feel the same as Toffee In Exile about signing players, since last season key-player injuries and fatigue almost cost us dearly...but DM always holds his cards close to his chest until he's ready to make his move. I anticipate some interesting signings - DM has an intelligent approach to team building - he gets high quality on a tight budget, by looking for what a player can become when part of EFC's squad, not just what he has already achieved. It would be great to get the injured players back in operation, too...they'll be hungry and keen to re-establish themselves. DM...slowly, slowly, catchee monkey winkeye
