Who?

Heart of Midlothian
comment on the article

Who, when trying to sell our club to potential managers, takes them to see a Kaunus RESERVE game?

Here's an idea Vlad. Hope it's not too 'out there', but how about taking them to Riccarton and let them see for themselves our fantastic facilities and promising youngsters. Then you just MIGHT have a slight chance of recruiting somebody. Even then they'd have to be somebody that has been living on the moon the last 3 years.

Arab in peace. I fear for your club, it looks as though they are being deliberatly run into the ground. Any player who makes an impact is sold (you know the list I'm sure) the debt has almost doubled, and VR has a prime piece of realestate in the centre of the capital, it does not look good! Jambo's often clash with club owmers but this guy seems to have wined and dined the supporters representatives an taken the sting out of YOUR voice. I heard a bloke from SOH on the radio on Saturday and he sounded utterly deluded (if a little sheepish) scottish football must have a Hearts! I think you need to get your act together soon...

Appreciate your concerns luggy, we're all a bit concerned with goings on at Tynecastle.

I'm not wanting to denegrate you in any way, as I think your heart's in the right place, but I do need to point out one or two things.

The debt has not doubled, nor is it anywhere near the region of double what it originally was.

You're correct about the location of Tynecastle and it is a very saleable asset, but that in itself would come nowhere near to yielding a profit should Vlad walk away.

As I said, I'm not setting out to denegrate you in any way, but there's so much dogma surrounding our club these days that certain untruths can no longer go unchallenged.

Again, thanks for the sentiment, we're all hopeful of seeing a strong Hearts in the near future.

The figure I keep hearing is £38 million, (22 when he arrived, hence nearly doubled) which Hearts have 'borrowed' from VR's bank. I recently read an article suggesting that Chelsea have 'borrowed' 600million from RA. The implication being if he walks, chelsea owe him 600mill! Are Hearts in the same boat? I think, regretably, that my analysis would make sense of some of the outlandish decisions at Tynecastle over the last few seasons.

As I said, figures are being thrown around without being challenged and subsequently become accepted wisdom when the truth is you only heard it.

The publihed accounts (financial year ended July 07) show an increased debt, though not to the level you mentioned, and do not take into account around £15m in transfer fees and reductions in the wage bill.

I'm not saying that everything's rosey down our way, far from it, but if we are facing an imminent demise, I would rather the facts and figures were accurately quoted.

Our main problem is nobody knows what Romanov's intentions really are. He undoubtedly saved the club, but it now appears that he is our single greatest threat.

I don't know what the answer is (I wish I did), but I'm currently buying lottery tickets like there's no tomorrow!

you may well be correct about the figures, but i remember Dee's telling me the same thing! VR seems to have had a charm offensive towards the fans and infrequently made the noises you all want to hear, this is seductive, but remember, Scotland is moving towards independence of at sort and property in the capital will soar in value, a business centre on the site of tynecastle could be worth 100's of millions in the medium term, more in the long term. I take no pleasure in this, please read this as genuine concern for a vital scottish football institution

Hi. I am new to this Evening News website.

First of all, I am a Celtic fan but Hearts are my second team even though I was born in Edinburgh. Obviously I love it when Celtic win but always keep look out for Hearts results as well.

Onto Hearts, I am quite disgusted with the way the club is being messed about by Romanov (Is he Robinson in disguise or what!?!). Too many broken promises.

I am quite concerned for Hearts this season as I think they will struggle to make the top 6 even though they have the players to get into the top 6 although they need a couple of signings to achieve a top 6 place at least for a club of Hearts size.

I remeber when Hearts played with passion in the 97/98 and 05/06 with passion and I think passion is what Hearts are lacking at the moment.

First of all, some of you may disagree with me on this but I think Hearts fans should consider a fans-only takeover of the club because they have been run down since Robinson was in charge.

Hearts need someone who has the club at heart with interests or someone who knows the club inside out.

As far as Romanov I think he should step aside as I think he has lost interest in the club as he is rarely seen at Tynecastle.

A change at boardroom level may be needed.

Fresh ideas needed at the club.

As a Celtic fan, Hearts alongside Aberdeen are one of the biggest clubs in Scotland and would hate to see Hearts go under otherwise I fear a Leeds United scenario.

Still remaining positive for Hearts though this season.

Need a manager ASAP. Butcher would be ideal, Pressley or Frail as No.2.

Overall I would like to see Romanov and the board resign before Hearts do a Leeds and the unthinkable happens.

erm, if you want to turn this into a point scoring thread between the clubs theres lots of stuff from last season I could bring up, but I really want to know what jambo's are thinking, and I can only go so far as it is not my club, and I don't like other fans havin a go a UTD but I think Hearts are on thin ice at the moment
I'm not a WUM! (on this occassion)
